    Crosman Model 1911 BB Pistol

    By Bruce

I like this gun so well I bought a second. Great value at $29.95. In reading the complaints about CO2 leakage while inserting a new gas cylinder it is apparent that the instructions weren't followed by these owners regarding using a drop of gas sealant oil on top of the CO2 cartridge before insertion. The same thing happened to me the first time but after using the gas sealant oil there was not even a whisper of CO2 leakage while tightening the insertion screw. Absolutely so quiet that I thought perhaps the cartridge had not been pierced until I fired a test shot. This is a personal preference but I like to hold the gun inverted and put a drop of gas sealant oil on the CO2 cylinder seat instead of on the top of the CO2 cylinder. That way there is absolutely no excess oil running down the sides of the cylinder while inserting it. Lovely gun for the price...just can't be matched in value by any other manufacturer at this throw-away price point. Many air rifles have 100 fps muzzle velocity less than this gun. Nobody should expect more than 10 yards accuracy from a smooth bore gun and I found the pattern and sights just fine. As the salesman said to me "at this price you won't have too many sleepless nights if you break or lose it".

Hey everybody I'll start this review by saying for 40$ you can't expect much more my only problem is that the co2 chamber loses most of the gas unless you are extremely fast which just means be as fast as possible to avoid wasting your co2 other than that I give this gun 4 stars

I fell for it again. Had one of these and went back and bought another!! I AM TIRED OF WASTEING CO2 CARTRIDGES!! I don't know who designed the CO2 chamber and how to install it but, I HOPE THEY ARE NOW FIRED, The very worst method a design could ever be. As others have stated, you CAN NOT put the cartridge in and tighten it down without losing most of the gas. Whoever designed it must have stock in the CO2 business. VERY wasteful and irritating. Don't they have a recall??
The only way I can post is to give it at least 1 star, otherwise it has NO STAR!

Did not have the problems of the other reviews. Accuracy pretty good at 10 yards. All my shots hit a 1 gallon jug. Grouping not the best, but it is a smooth bore BB gun. If your looking for more distance, and better accuracy you will have to pay more to get a rifled barrel pistol. When installing CO2 twist the wing nut quickly to avoid loss of gas. Fun for plinking and target shooting. I have expensive Crosman rifles and pistols which I am very happy with. This particular model is for the dad who does not want to spend a lot of money training his son or daughter on the proper handling, and shooting of a pistol. Not bad for the price. I give it 3 stars out of 5.

I have the same complaints. NO accuracy. Poor or no feed of the BB to the chamber and CO2 insertion is wasteful, gas spills out as you tighten the cartridge in.
If I could return it for a refund, I would!!!!

This gun is surprisingly the worst pistol you could buy.

    1. It has horrible accuracy. I held it perfectly still and it had about 12 inch array of fire.
2.It is Plastic. It looks metal, but its 100 percent plastic except the trigger and the inside.
3.It uses the worst magazine Crosman makes.
4.Finally the CO2 tap wastes all your CO2 for some reason when you try to put it in.
