    scope broke

Scope broke and the rear lens moved around and rattled so it wouldn't keep zeroed. I should have gotten a rifle with a fixed sight.

    scope broke

    By saltair

Have had for about a year and discovered the rear lens was shifting. I could hear it rattle. I took the scope apart and found the threaded ring that holds the scope lens in place was flopping around inside the scope...yes flopping to the point it was blocking the view of the sight. I lost confidence in the gun and ordered a Nitro Venom Dusk .177 and ordered a better scope on line. IF the scope on the Nitro Venom Dusk is of better quality I may put the new scope on the Fury NP. I tried 3 different brands of pellets thinking it was the ammo's fault. Yes, I'm giving Crosman one more chance. I Recommend the Gun but NOT THE SCOPE. I depend on reviews for most of my purchases which is why I went with the Nitro Venom Dusk. Time will tell.

I purchased the Fury about a year ago at Walmart on Black Friday. I got a great deal so look out this year. The rifle is great for small critters and target. I believe the only item that is a must is an addition of a cheek rest. Unless you have an unusually low cheek bone or are a huge man, your cheek weld will simply never accommodate the proper eye relief. I made mine from plexi and a heat gun, drilled a few holes at the proper height, and accuracy increased exponentially. Good gun for the money and a great way to practice technique for hunting season without spending 40 at the range and 60 on ammo.

My grandfather gave me this gun for christmas of 2012 and at first i didnt like it. It was too heavy and it wouldnt stay sighted in. I have pu 2000+ rounds through it now and it shoots great! I hate bluejay birds around the house, there extremely annoying. I got rid of every single one in the summer of 2013. My mother hates groundhogs in thre garden so she when after my gun and wanted to shoot it. I was picking on her telling her she would miss. At 75 yards she nailed it in one lung and straight out the other! so then i tryed groundhog!(it taste like a mix of wood and dirt) but my point is its a great gun especially for the price. itsworth every penny.

Had my fury for over a month now. Shot between 400 to 600 pellets now and boy this gun is great for just about anything. Price is right on for this quality.
I can shoot the same spot or make a eraser hole from at least 18 feet away. Accurate at even further yardage distance. Scope is ok but buying a better one will be more better. I took mind off and been using a red dot scope. Over all GREAT PRODUCT!

    Great gun!

It only took me about 10 shots to have this gun sighted in at 25yds. It was way off center out of the box but with simple math and know how it was corrected easily. I am now hitting squirrels and other small game from 25 yds+. The ease of use combined with the efficiency and cost effectiveness of this gun and ammo make it a great choice for beginners and veteran hunters/outdoorsmen alike. I look forward to many fun times with this gun and recommend everyone getting one.

    Bad scope

    By Anonymous

    2013-12-06 18:09:01
This gun has a lot of power. I have shot through thin metal at 20 yards and it goes right through glass bottles without shattering them. The only problem I have ever had with this gun is the scope is no good. I have sighted it in many times yet I can't get the scope to work. the grouping is very good so the gun isn't complete trash. I strongly recommend that if you buy this gun buy a different scope because otherwise it is a waste of money. I have read several other reviews from other people who encountered the same issue. Maybe its just mine but I doubt it.

I just purchased a fury air rifle for small game hunting and to shoot raccoons out to my hounds do to the cost of 22 rimfire ammo . I'm trying to sight it in and it is all over the paper . I know I'm still in the break in period but it should be more consistent than it is. I can't get a group to make any adjustments . I hope it gets better or I'm going to have to do something else.I'm fifty shots in the break in period . I hope it gets better. It has the power just not the accuracy.

really nice rifle. Bolted scope on and was surprised how accurate it was "out of the box" . A great rpice and value, plus It is fun and will be much more inexpensive than a more traditional firearm. This make it more enjoyable. It is quiet and because of this, and the caliber, you have more flexibility in safe shooting locations. My friend bought the same one so looks like some fun competitions coming up. Love it!

Good gun for the money but problem sighting

    By thebabydoc

Probably need to heed DieselMan's adviceas I've put at least 1000 rounds through this thing and yes, the shot groups get very wild-( 4-5" at 25 yards).
The biggest issue I have though is that once I have sighted it (at least 20-30 pellets), if I put it away for the night the next time I fire it, it is waaaay off, have to go through the whole process again. Also, the number of "clicks" on the sights needed to move the pellet over even 2 or 3 hash marks at 25 yards is ridiculous. Maybe I have a bad scope. I have tried re-mounting it but this has done little to change the previous comments.

Pretty good gun for the money

I've owned this spring air rifle for a few months now. Have put about 800 or so pellets through it. The first 200 shots are inconsistent due to break in period but after that the gun works great. You MUST keep the barrel clean. Shot groups will get wild after every 100 pellets or so if you do not clean it. The scope that comes with it is ok. Shouldn't have any issues getting a squirrel or pest bird at 40 yards with some practice. Only use the Crossman Premier pellets with it, standard pellets tend to go all over targets making it very difficult to sight in. But overall I'm impressed with the build quality and power per dollar. Ive had a blast with this thing from my back porch. Great way to get into air gun shooting.
