    Excellent job

This is a very good pellet gun. No question about it,
It's really accurate and pretty powerful. Like,
1200 FPS really isn't bad that number deserves the
Credit. I've killed ratcoons with it, so how can it be bad?
I have to give tons of credit to Crossman! Thank you Crossman!

    Ruckus Rifle

    By Anonymous

I've had quite a few affordable air guns over the years and I've tuned each of them to achieve their highest possible level of performance, but none of them has ever come close to the power and accuracy of the TR77 NPS.
This gun tosses 10.5 grain Crosman Heavies at 895 feet per second into one-hole groups at 20 yards and prints better than 1" groups at 35 yards, no joke. It will throw a 7.9 grain Crosman Premier Hollowpoint downrange at 1,025 feet per second into clover leafs at 20 yards and will print 1-1/8" groups at 35 yards.
I don't know if I got an abnormal rifle or not, but it sure is a pleasure to own. It is very hold-tolerant, the shot cycle is pretty much linear (it kicks in line with the bore) and, once you mount a decent scope and fix the trigger (pretty easy to do, even a caveman could do it, though I'm pretty sure it voids the warranty), it is a very good all-around air gun.

I recommend this rifle highly. Good design, good execution, good job Crosman!

    Pretty good but...

    By Anonymous

    2014-06-19 15:15:38
Well it's great for power and hunting, but that is if you can actually hit anything. It is extremely inaccurate. I'm a great shot and I couldn't shoot a frog from 2 feet away. Sure I could use a little improvement but there is no way that was my fault.

    Reliable light gun

    By Larry1979

I'm going to keep this short. This is a great gun. I've owned almost every Crosman created and this gun is in the top ten. It has dead on accuracy. Only issue is the trigger. However, after a few uses, you get to know the trigger and it works. Just have to give it a little more pull than your average trigger. Thanks for making another great gun crosman.

    tr77 / fury2 black out

    By the hunter

    2014-02-23 01:38:28
i have an old 50's lion brand break barrel that the trigger was probably made by a chimp. its easy 10 times better. the quality of that old china made thing is just above scrap metal and junk. i do own the fury black out and the trigger pull was garbage, yes i did do a trigger job and now its more like my ww2 mouser rifle. its crisp, clean and smooth. best of all its predictable which means better shot placement and groupings. at 22 feet in may basement i can group 3 sets of 6 all in side a dime and thats all 18 shots in the same hole.... yes i like my fury 2 / tr177. it is worth the cash spent but needs a major over haul to the trigger system. if your handy with tools then its an easy triger job to do........

    TR77 NPS

Excellent air rifle. Does what it is designed for. I have put about 700 rounds through it with no problems. The scope is acceptable. Contrary to other reviews of the scope not functioning or breaking, mine has held up. I have bought a better scope just because it has a different optic view. It consistently has a 1" group at 25 yards with the crosman destroyer pellet.

    Great Overall

    By Cole

With barely any recoil, little cocking effort and awesome size/design, I would absolutely recommend this rifle to anyone considering buying it! The only issue I've had so far is the trigger quality. It works for its purpose but could be better quality, Although, the rest of the gun makes up for that by far!

    Trigger is GARBAGE

    By Anonymous

    2013-12-20 18:56:20
If you buy this gun you will have to replace the trigger IMMEDIATELY. It comes with the most God awful excuse for a trigger that mankind has ever devised. It is heavy, it is long, it is inconsistent, it is gritty and jumpy, and it feels like you have to pull it 5 miles before it goes off. A chimpanzee could design a better trigger in 5 minutes than Crossman did with this thing.

IF you can get past the trigger…and your accuracy WILL suffer because of it…then it's a pretty good gun. It's powerful, handles well, and in those odd moments when the stars align and the trigger doesn't suck as bad as it usually does…you can get some decent accuracy out of it.

If you buy this…do not waste any time before buying an aftermarket trigger. I cannot overstate how bad this trigger is. I've owned dozens of guns in my life…many dozens…and this is the single worst example of a trigger on the planet.

    Nice at first

    By MattS

    2013-10-13 16:51:37
I was amazed when I purchased this gun at the power it had... however after the second shooting trip with it... it broke.
I maybe put 500 pellets through it total and completed the recommended 1 drop of RCOIL every few hundred shots...
It used to have about a 30LB break barrell, but now it feels more like 5LB and the pellets just flat out stopped shooting... So something obviously is wrong with the gun.
Will hope to get it fixed...

    Crossman tr77 nps

    By DDtennessee

    2013-09-30 17:06:29
have had this gun for one month. cant stop shooting this thing. i have two ravens, one vantage, and the tr77. am in the process of getting a new barrel assembly ( buddy fired it cocked and not locked). i ordered another tr 77 NPS instantly. I have a airgun range 16 feet from my patio door, plinking targets from 20 feet all the way out to 260 feet. This gun can hit every target without missing once, shoots so fast at 260 feet hits empty crossman pellet tin swinging from tree branch as many times as you want. THIS IS my favorite gun i own. TR77 NPS hands down greatest airgun value ever. Put a 4x 32 on top, buy bulk pellets from crossman and you are now stress free. Mine loved premeir light magnums.

    second model

    By Anonymous

why make a second tactical model and not add on the weaver rail to it, after all that's what people are moving onto , away from dove tail rails.

    WOW Factor

    By Allen

    2013-09-07 03:05:50
Great power and accuracy (didn't use included scope, made my eye water) with a daisy/winchester 4x32AO scope. Holding 1/2in. bulls eye at 50ft. from porch railing. Tried different pellets, likes the Premier 7.9 gr hollow point best. BTW, the first shot is LOUD (like gun powder type), and clean the barrel before firing, it will diesel and clear up the more you fire it. The short barrel is hard to cock but it gets better with use. If you want a great NP rifle BUY this one. WOW, what a geat rifle, thanks Crosman.

    By Cole

If their was one break barrel must have, this would be it. The tactical feel and look of this rifle combined with the overall performance is amazing! Although the scope that comes with this rifle is generic it still performs well, and replaced with a more advanced scope would bring the overall quality up even further. And for the price of this gun you have to buy it!

    Great gun, but....

    By Mac

    2013-07-02 10:09:23
Right off the bat it is a fantastic air rifle! It was easy to mount the scope and the scope actually has a multi-dash/dots for windage and/or elevation. My friend and I sighted it in in my basement. Right off the bat we had a two-inch spread. It took about 30-45 minutes to sight it in. Also the gun is pretty loud but it's supposed to quiet down a bit. The breaking barrel mechanism IS a little tough. If you are getting it for someone under 13 or 14, the will have trouble. The nitro piston is REALLY nice and very powerful. Overall, it's an awesome gun! Very impressed.

Wow, I'm impressed with this rifle! It has a trigger like my thousand dollar real rifle, and not like other crosman's. The scope is good, and does hold it's adjustments. With a new scope I added I can drive tacks with this thing, and it's not even broken in!! This is a great rifle, and performs like a thousand dollar rifle, and you MUST BUY THIS!!!!
