Being a remington brand i was expecting an excellent product instead i was disappointed. if only i could return this rifle i would do so. the recoil is too much that it affects the accuracy and even the noise is still unbearable.

Out the box something was wrong. Closer inspection revealed that poor finish, very poor quality piston seal and overall cheap components are to blame. not to mention the spelling error in the etched wording on the rifle. After many hours of making custom parts and rebuilding the rifle it works very well. One would expect a better quality product for the price.

I consistently group shots to a nickel's size at 65'
Works excellent - grouping says it all.
You have to find the ammo that works best in it. THAT is the key. A specific pellet type may work great in one gun, lousy in another.

I love this rifle, precision and accuracy. I usually shoot 60 meters it is quite accurate. Good quality, relatively sound at all. Now it is a normal telescope would like to try it to shoot farther.

I bought this rifle after about 4 months of research and reviews of pcp rifles, breakbarrel and some airsoft guns, after that i decided to try this npss, i ordered it from amazon and recieved it about 2 months later. after opening it my first impressions where:"wow this gun is really nice and big!". after zeroing the scope and shooting about 170 pellets i noticed a soft grinding noise, this with time got worse and heavier to pull the break barrel. but i just oiled a bit and the grinding noise vanished a littlebit. but so far i have done about 400 shots in 1.5 weeks of use the plastic "cap" that is behind the scope rail has broken apart in two pieces and some oil is pouring out of it
after my experience with this rifle i have been dissapointed of the poor workmanship of this rifle for a cost of 300$$ .

Amazing air rifle!

Sleek design, its very tactical and influenced by AR design as is the construction of the carbon fiber body and overall feel..

For example, the performance you can expect from this rifle is amazing!

It's deadly accurate (varmints) and pleasant to cock, load, and fire.

I thoroughly enjoy the 'crack' of the performance pellets velocity of 1200 feet per second as the rifle is fired.

Overall, I would strongly recommend this rifle to anyone and firmly stand beside my choice in purchasing a Nitro Piston Short Stroke air rifle.

Also, the scope is simply amazing! I've thought of taking the scope off my air rifle and mounting it to a center fire rifle for the scopes amazing performance.. I dare say the quality of the scope rivals that of expensive center fire rifles scopes from much larger optics manufacturers..

The Nitro Piston Short stroke has amazing performance, is very enjoyable to shoot, delivers on the performance expected, and exceeded for a Remington and Remington endorsement on an adult air rifle. Unfortunately, it seems that this rifle has been eclipsed by the other guys higher velocity and terribly mass produced adult air rifles which require significantly higher cock force to cycle the next performance round and at 27 LBS cocking force. This rifle is amazingly fun, versatile and extremely cool for hunting varmints and fun to shoot all day without excess fatigue due to excessive cocking force.

If you want quality, enjoyability, comfort, sleek design that is influenced by Assault Rifles and the performance of a .22 long rifle out of a .177 (FPS VELOCITY) cal pellet rifle; this is the rifle I would strongly suggest to any body. Consistent 1200 feet per second shots, 27 LBS of cocking force, and minor recoil for an air rifle that is truly unique.

its a good gun but im sick of all the people saying there's to much recoil.... quit griping its a gun it will have recoil its a gun!!!
