Wow! what a nice air riffle for the price. I can stack pellets at 20 yrds. Taken the heads off matches also at 20yrds. Very easy to break and load, that's why my girlfriend loves it also. Targets or small vermin beware. Only wish a .22 was available at the time I purchased the .177, but have no regrets about it.

Great air rifle. Hard to find a comparable rifle in the same price range. Nice gloss finish and checkering. The one piece scope mount keeps the scope in-place after many rounds. The accuracy is excellent for target shooting and small game hunting. I use my .22 caliber for squirrel and rabbit hunting. Plenty of energy for a humane kill. The rifle is a little heavy so I installed a loop-style rifle sling for long squirrel hunts in the woods.

This is a very good air rifle, especially for the price. Very accurate and consistent once you get it sighted in. I can hit the bullseye out to 50 yds with this rifle and Crosman Premier Hollowpoints, however for hunting I keep things inside 40 yds because I am not consistent enough at longer ranges. It has replaced my .22 rimfire as a small game gun. I actually like its weight which is very close to that of the muzzleloaders I use for big game. The trigger reach is a little long for younger shooters but not so bad that my kid's can't shoot it from a rest (they are 6,8, and 15). The only big complaint I have is that the scope doesn't have turrets with a "lockable" zero, which I prefer for field use. A .22 version may be in my future. If Crosman made a Nitro Piston upgrade for this rifle life would be good. I love and think you will too.

I WAS RECENTLY OVERTAKEN BY WOODCHUCKS. THIS WAS GIVEN TO ME AS A GIFT,SO I GAVE IT A TRY. WOW!! BEING A SEASONED HUNTER OF OVER 30 YEARS, i HAVE PURSUED ALL KINDS OF GAME ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. MY FAVORITE PAST TIME IS SMALL GAME. NOW THE SUMMIT GOES WITH ME ON EVERY VENTURE. FROM SQUIRRELS AND RABBITS, AND THE OCASIONAL GROUSE, THIS IS THE PERFECT MATCH. ALSO GOOD FOR PEST CONTROL. MY PERSONAL BEST IS A WOOD CHUCK AT ABOUT 70 YARDS. HEAD SHOT,STOPPED IN HIS TRACKS. THE ONLY NEGATIVE I CAN SAY IS NOT ABOUT THE RIFLE,BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE REAR SPRING GUIDE(MADE OF PLASTIC) BLEW TO PEICES A FEW WEEKS AGO. I CALLED AND ORDERED 2, PAID OVER THE PHONE, AND WAS TOLD 5 TO 7 BUSINESS DAYS. NOW IT IS 13 BUSINESS DAYS,AND IT HASNT EVEN SHIPPED. MY ADVICE IS PLAN AHEAD AND ORDER THE PLASTIC INTERNAL PARTS TO KEEP ON HAND. THY ARE INEXPENSIVE AN CROSMAN WILL COMBINE SHIPPING. ALSO,SLING MOUNTS WOULD BE A PLUS, THIS IS A FAIRLY HEFTY RIFLE.

First thing, this gun has a long break-in period, aroun 700-1000 shots. after that you can start to get respectable groups with the right pellets. Some reveiws on other websites claim that RWS super point extras are accurate in this gun but i found these pellets to fly all over the place. this gun is very pellet picky however it seems to favour 8 or more grain pellets i found that CZ Diabolo Boxer pellets give very tight consistant groups even though the pellets apear inconsistantly made. The included scope broke within the first 50 shots. This probably could've been avoided if i had left the scope off untill after the brreak-in period. Anyways i got a Center Point 3-9x40mm iluminated recticle, adventure class scope and it proved to be a perfect match for the gun. i removed the muzzle brake which did nothing for noise or balence and i even got better accuracy after it was removed. the barrel could lock into place a bit more tightly but is firm enough. By the way, removeing the muzzle brake takes any barrel droop out of the barrel and even improves the guns looks which are already good. Typical crosman trigger, very heavy untill adjusted , i sujest cranking the adjustment screw right down as far as it will go, this worked for me and gave a more predictable crisp release. nice power has taken many blackbirds out to ranges of 45-50 yrds. USE GOOD PELLETS!!
