Crosman 2260 Rifle
I Purchase a new Crosman 2260 and received it 3 weeks later. I was excited that it was still available because I always wanted one. When I received it from U.P.S. I noticed that the box was damaged because it was only single boxed. The rear sight was scratched up and bent to one side. Poor packaging. When I opened the box I also noticed that the rifle texture and finish was ruff. You could see the sanding marks and feel the imperfections in the stock. ( This was nothing like the original version) Then I noticed there was some bluing texture problem on the side of the gun. I contacted them and they sent out a replacement. The second one is better but has a loose barrel?
Crosman Goes Retro
By Bob Balked
Just received new 2260; checked sighting, and proceeded to tack drive about 35 pellets. I always kicked myself for not purchasing this rifle years ago. Now that Crosman has gone retro, I had the chance to correct former mistakes. The fit and finish of the 2260 is great! This rifle would look great in stainless steel and black synthetic too. Great job!
Crosman Heritage 2260
I have ordered and received 2 of these rifles and am very pleased with both. The first was double boxed and had no damage. The second was single boxed and suffered a shattered front sight, but despite whatever happened to it in transit still shot great (had a spare front sight on hand). These are enjoyable rifles with nice stocks and tons of aftermarket parts for the 22xx series of air guns available on the internet (breeches, performance mods, muzzle brakes, replacement parts, etc.). Mods and customizations are easy if desired, though it will void your warranty. I ordered both with engraving on the stocks and both look great. I am glad these have been available once again after waiting too long to purchase when they were in regular production. A great Crosman product.
Crosman 2260 Is Back!
By Bob Balke
Just finished shooting 2260 rifle for the first time. For years I have kicked my self in the butt for not purchasing this item when available years ago. Now Crosman goes retro and I am glad they did. Out of the box, checked sighting, and shot about 35 pellets. Great rifle. It sure would look great in stainless steel and composite! Great job Crosman.
Crosman 2260 Classic CO2 Rifle
I just received mine and it is beautifull...the finish is better than I expected and mine did have the barrel spacer. I am totally satisfied with this Rifle. Thank you Crosman!
I bought two of these rifle and they are very nice rifles they both came in walnut stocks. The rifles are very acurate and shot about 625 feet per second. These are the best CO2 rifles I have ever owned they are very fun to shoot. I would recomend this gun to anyone that likes to target shoot. I get 45 to 50 consistent shot per powerlet.5 stars!I would like to see Crosman offer 2260 Heritage rifle through the custom shop.

Nice for the price
By Barry McGee
I put my order in the first day these went up on the website. An american walnut stock gun for 125.00 great price. Well others had their suspicions about the stock not being walnut but a hardwood. When these started arriving in the hnds of the first few buyers all were a little disappointed that they were not walnut as adveftised. Since then Crosman has changed the description to hardwood. All in all it's still a fun, good shooting little rifle for the price. Minde came in of course sporting a hardwood stock and missing the barrel spacer. I know things get by but misleading advertising is a no-no in my books. Also shoddy Q.C. is bad for sales. On the one forum I am a member 2out of 5 guns were missing the spacer. That's not a very good average.
This is a light gun compared to the springers I was used to. Seems to have good power and handles nicely. Shooting 18gn pellets scares me a bit though as I hear the report of the gun then the pellet hit the backstop. Hope this delay isn't long enough for small game to jump my shots, only time will tell. Got about 20 shots to the cartridge.
The only issues or gripes I have are the staining on the stock is inconsistent, and the sights are super cheap. Like they came out of a quarter machine cheap. Upgrading to steel breech so the plastic isn't a huge issue unless you plan to leave it stock.
Recommend dry swabbing the barrel, mine came full of grease.
Although I have yet to recieve one of these 'new' ones; it was once a long time ago that they were the best that a kid could own. This is the only (as far as I could find) 22cal. rifle of CO2 that is 'affordable' and that comes with out a scope,('seems smart because it's the most complained about add-on). Thank you Crosman for bringing back an ol'time favorite!
It is amazing
