I love the gun, the BB's DO NOT corkscrew flying out of the barrel, so you must be using the wrong kind of BB's. It is well worth the price, and is an amazingly powerful gun. It kills vermin on impact (especially squirrels xD ) It is a pain to pump it every time but it is deadly accurate with a scope, I can shoot a target hundreds of feet away. And the sight will still make you get on target. Its a personal favorite gun for me. and i would recommend it to any responsible shooter. And i even bought it at walmart.
Nice gun, plan on 615 fps max though.
I have one of this gun's older brothers, the 66 PowerMaster. The PowerMaster had a nicer-looking stock, but it was not adjustable. It was too long for kids under about 13 years old. For those kids, get a 760 Pumpmaster instead. This one has the longer pumping arm for less pumping effort though. This new version also has a better construction of the pumping arm. The old 66 had trim pieces that were forever falling off and getting lost. It also had a raised cheekpiece, which seems to be missing now, but the new one is ambidextrous and the old one wasn't.
The fiber optic sight is easy to pick up, but will not do wonders for your accuracy. Plan on putting a scope on this.
Don't use BBs. They corkscrew coming out of the rifled barrel and are as inaccurate as can be. They're only for plinking, and even then, I'd avoid them for fear of stripping out the rifling with the steel BBs. With pellets and a good scope, this can be exceedingly accurate.
As usual, the open-top loading is really nice.
