A great gun

I got this gun as my first airsoft gun, and i couldn't be more happy with it. Oddly, at the start, i had to turn the gun sideways for it to properly cock, but after about 50 shots i could cock it in the upright position. In addition, the slide makes it easy to release bb's stuck in the gun and to unjam a jam. Furthermore, this gun had a great design and look. The only concern was that after 20-30 feet the bb's would curve quite sharply upward, but this may be because i am using .12g bb's. Overall, this is a great gun, and for the price of $25, i would recommend this to anyone beginning airsoft, or someone looking for a sidearm

Very good first airsoft pistol

Got ripped off by Walmart but otherwise a very good first airsoft pistol, the grip is comfortable and it shoots at 275 fps. The main problem i have with this gun is the sights. The both rear and fore sights are made of clear plastic which makes it difficult to shoot in low light.

only problem it that the mag does not have a back compartment
other than that it is a sweet gun.

Pretty bad for the price

First of all, it costs more than the Stinger P311, which is $12 at walmart. This actually costs twice as much. So now let's compare the two guns. BTW the one I got had FAR too much hop up, it curved up to the point where you could hit someone in the top of a tree by aiming it straight. This was with .2 gram BBs. The BBs that it comes with are horrible quality, I laughed when I saw it said "high quality .12 gram bbs" considering that's a paradox in itself. So now I compare the two guns in several essential areas-

PRICE
Stinger P311 wins by more that $10... It's cheaper.

ACCURACY
Hands down, Stinger P311 using .2 high quality bbs
This was crap with any ammo, curved up like crazy

RELIABILITY
Stinger P311 is MUCH better. The way this (P9) gun is made the bbs can leak into the action and jam it up. This happened so many times, and you have to unscrew it all to get it apart, I just called it defective and returned it. I got another P311 back. The P311 is closed off near the magazine, so BBs can't leak out into the action.

MAGAZINES
This gun's better, but whupdedoo. The P311 mags are hard to load, but it's really not too big of a deal once you figure it out.

POWER
Stinger P311 has much better FPS... You notice the difference right away.

All in all, WHY would you buy this gun? It's more expensive than the P311, and MUCH MUCH worse!

its not a bad pistol, there are better ones but its a basic weapon, its a little heavy but it makes up for its power, the mag release is very nice though i wish more pistols had releases like that.

this gun worked great for me in one war. but then the cocking mech broke so i had to return it.

one thing i am VERY disapointed in crossman for not adding to their new guns are the extra bb "stashes" in the back

I own 4 other air soft guns and I paid less for them. They all shoot much straighter then theP9.At a range of 30 feet the projectile has curved upwards more then 6 feet. The holster that comes with the gun is excellent for carrying my other guns.

Good gun

I like this package, but in my opinion, the original Stinger P9 is much better (but not sold anymore).

PROS:

- Accurate (for a spring pistol) once you know how it shoots. .20 gram BBs seem to work best
- Relatively powerful for a relatively cheap pistol

CONS:

- No BB reservoir in the mag
- Hard to cock
- A little heavy, but not too heavy to use

This isn't really a con, but the old holsters (found here: http://www.crosman.com/airsoft/accessories/SAH02) that used to come with the pistols are much better than the new holsters that come in the packages (you don't have to undo your belt to wear them, they have a spot for an extra mag or a Speedloader, and the gun is held in by a strap with a clip, not Velcro), but that's just personal preference

Overall, I like it and recommend it (I would recommend the original P9 over this, but it isn't being sold anymore), especially to someone that doesn't have a lot of money to spend on a pistol.
