I'm 47 years old 5' 7" and have recently purchased the Sentinel and Elkhorn Crosman bows. Both bows are the most fun I've ever had with any bow just shooting at target blocks in the back yard @ 30' all day long. Think about it ? Wanna pull 80 lbs. all day or 20 lbs.
This is a must for the beginner. My twins (10) use this set often and have begun to get competitive for my liking. Great price and decent quality. I had read another post that they would like Crosman to make a left handed version, I agree, one of my twins is a lefthander and has adjusted to the right handed bow.
Sentinal Recurve Youth Bow
By El AirHawk
After handing several bows, I finally chose the Crossman Sentinal from Cabela's for an introduction to Archery for my Wife (petite woman), whom had expressed an interest in the sport. I am glad to have done so - the Sentinal comes with essentially everything the beginning Archer actually needs to start shooting - including tw youth arrows matched to the bow (I bought several more essentially Identical arrows from Academy Sports made by Easton - for a reasonable price).
The bow itself shoots easy, seems reasonably durable, and sticks arrows into a target with a nice, satisfying solid "thwack". I was impressed with the overall design; a lot of thought went into this bow. It has construction of inexpensive materials, but engineered features that were essentially unavailable when I started in Archery over 30 years-ago. True, it lacks some of the "bells and whistles" of many standard adult bows today - but it IS a "price point" piece of equipment. I would hazard one is getting a lot more than they paid for with this bow. My only complaint is, as pointed-out by another reviewer, a lack of ready replacement parts (strings, arrow rests, etc.). This may not matter, as my Wife has only been using it a few days. Time will tell as to the durability of the aforementioned parts. And there ARE aftermarket "stickon" rests and strings can be made fairly easily from dacron thread (see youtube), should one be damaged.
perfection of a bow

I only wish to have this bow... I've only been shooting airguns for a while, but I've always loved bows and this is a thing of beauty, I wish I could have one :(.
best bow ever
there is not a bow the same price that can beat it
I love this bow set. My only concern is not being able to find the exact arrows or string for replacement. Crosman, any info would help.
best bow ever
This bow is better than a beginer compound. I had a missing screw for one of the attachments but thats because of the store that sold it to me.I could have more arows included with it. But overall its great.

Our church, through donations, procured 15 Crosman Sentinel bows for a fun shoot. Our turnout was tremendous (170 people) and we had children as young as five (through adult) shooting without major difficulty. Following 5 hours of shooting we only had a total of 3 arrows down (1 split tip and 2 broken nocks). I confidently recommend this product, it can't be beat for the quality and the price. Excellent job Crosman!!
P.S. Crosman, please make this bow for left-handed archers!!

Got this for my 10 year old daughter, it was a little tough at first for her to draw it to full length since it is a 20lb draw bow. However the more she uses it, the better she gets and the best thing is that she absolutely loves it. I have to make her stop using it so that she can give her body a rest. I cant wait for it to get warm outside so I can set up a range for her. The look of the bow is great. she feels like she has a bow in her hand instead of the flimsy one I have seen at the stores. Good Job Crosman, dont stop there, make jr shooting gloves for these bows so we can buy them from you. Next is the Elkhorn, my daughter will love it.
