RISER
Where the limb system and stock attach
COCKING STIRRUP
Used to aid in cocking the crossbow. The archer's foot is placed in the stirrup to prevent the bow from slipping during cocking.
FLIGHT TRACK
Made of composite material, a grooved track allows the arrow to lie in perfect alignment with the string for consistent shooting.
LATCH
Designed to capture the string when the crossbow is fully drawn. This mechanism will hold the crossbow fully drawn until released by the trigger.
SIGHT BRIDGE
This area allows optics to be installed.
ARROW RETENTION SPRING
Holds the arrow in the flight track until trigger releases the latch mechanism.
POWER STROKE
The distance in inches that the string travels while pushing the arrow down the flight track.
SAFETY
Prevents the arrow from releasing accidentally.
COCKING VANE
The odd colored vane on a 3 vane set is the cocking vane. This is the vane that goes into the flight track when loading the crossbow.
