With a trailer full of targets, ammo, Nitro Piston, Marauders and more, Crosman’s Shooting Services headed west for Ames, Iowa and the JAX Shootout.  JAX Mercantile started in Colorado fifty years ago and today has stores in Fort Collins, Loveland, Lafayette and Bellvue, plus the Ames, Iowa location.  The Shootout was devised to raise awareness of the store by letting folks try product before they buy.  This year the folks at JAX invited Crosman to participate and rather than ship a few guns, we loaded up the Crosman rig for the 964 mile trip.

Despite a tornado just to the south of Ames as we arrived and weeks of rain, the day of the event was gorgeous.  Local boy scouts took their turn at the AirSource 2250XT and veteran shooters looking for the latest in airguns had a chance to try the Benjamin Marauder .22, .177 and .25.  A Benjamin Discovery was also on hand, as was a Silhouette PCP Pistol.

If you’re in the Ames, Iowa area this weekend, stop by the JAX Mercantile store for their huge Shootout event and try your hand at the Crosman Mobile Shooting Range.  The Shootout is on Saturday, June 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at JAX Mercantile located at 4723 West Lincoln Way in Ames. Being an outdoor event, visitors to the Crosman range can expect opportunities to try out a Benjamin Marauder, Benjamin Discovery, 2250 and a Nitro Piston-powered break barrel rifle.

The Shootout offers opportunities to try and purchase a variety of arms and accessories from over 30 vendors so come on out, say hello and get your hands on a Crosman!
