We have competitors traveling from all across the counry to see how they measure up to other air gun shooters on a national level,” said Jessica McClain, NRA Air Gun Coordinator. Over 150, to be exact, and they traveled from 15 states along with coaches and proud parents. Sporter-class winners of the Sub-Junior (born 1996 or later), Intermediate Junior (born 1993-1995) and Junior (born 1990-1992), will receive a Challenger PCP from Crosman! In addition to the shooting competition, participants will attend a Training Summit where they will attend seminars on nutrition, collegiate shooting opportunities, mental and physical aspects of competition, and more on programs for youth offered by the NRA. Crosman’s Challenger PCP rifle has raised the bar for competitive shooting, has finished in the top three positions in all branches competing in JROTC national competitions, including a national shooting record. The Challenger PCP features a fully adjustable stock, ambidextrous steel straight pull bolt, hooded front aperture and fully adjustable rear sight. The synthetic stock has an adjustable butt plate and cheek piece for providing the best possible fit. The rifle also features a fully adjustable, two-stage, match grade trigger.
