Whistling Wind And Whistle Pigs May 7, 2015 Hunting, Prostaff Reports Twitter0Facebook55LinkedIn0Despite windy conditions, Prostaffer Tom Claycomb was able to get out over the weekend to do a little “whistle pig” hunting in his home state of Idaho. Townsend Ground Squirrels, affectionately called whistle pigs, are fun to get after with the Benjamin Marauder .25 and even on this day, with winds whipping, Tom was able to reach out as far as 50 yards with the 27.9 grain Benjamin Domed pellets. I’d have to try to shoot between gusts. The wind was blowing ME around so hard I couldn’t hardly hold still to shoot. Tom’s headed off to the mountains for a few days, then once the wind lays down he’s set a goal to take a whistle pig at 100 yards. Stay tuned!
