A New Airgun Is Designed
by Tom Gaylord

After the meeting in New York, a schedule was developed and a project team was assigned to all the tasks that go into designing and fielding a new air rifle. Those who build them one at a time in the basement might not appreciate everything that goes into a new product like this, but there is literature, packaging, education and promotion to consider, not to mention a hundred small but important details on the gun, itself. Just because a couple hand-built prototypes work doesn't mean you're ready to produce them.

The Idea Matures
by Tom Gaylord

As I thought about how to present my idea to the management at Crosman, the idea itself began taking on substance. I knew I would be talking to men and women who understand the airgun market quite well, but who do not know the PCP sector of that market as thoroughly as the sectors in which they currently make airguns. They are not without some experience, having marketed Logun PCPs for a brief period several years back, but they have never developed the technology in-house.

It started with an idea
Everyone has had a "great idea" at one time or another. You know what I mean, a What They Ought To Do kind of idea. Most of those ideas die as daydreams, but once in a rare while one comes along at the right time and also happens to be the idea everyone is looking for.

It seems like everyone has a blog these days. Everyone that is, except Crosman. We have been working hard to bring you the best airgun website on the Internet and as we march into 2008 that effort continues with the introduction of the newest feature to our site.

Croswords, the official airgun blog of Crosman! This will be the place to come for the best discussion of airguns as an industry and as a past time. We are reaching out to some of the finest voices in the airgun community for content and conversation as well as introducing you to some of the characters that work hard to develop your favorite airguns.

So let me cut to our first big announcement of the year...
