When i came home from lunch today there was a fox stitting in my driveway. I got my benjamin trail XL 1500 and from 50 yards one shot to the head the fox dropped like a sack of potatoes. Best pellet ive used by far

ive tried premier pellets gamo pellets and daisy pellets so far the destroyer has a nice tight fit in my storm xt they also worked well in my ORIGINAL early model 2100 with ive even used them in my gamo pt 80 and 85 blowback mind you not the best idea in a handgun as they are a tight fit in a plastic clip however took down a possum one shot and great accuracy daisy pellets i always have the issues of accuracy and needing more than one shot but with the destroyer from my porch to the top of a large pine behind my house i was able to shoot a squirrel right through the ear perfectly. the gamo pellets cost a bit too much and never had the groupind the destroyer has. works well for rifles in target shooting and small game alike.

Crosman destroyers!!!

I used to shoot lots of critters with this pellet out of my gamo big cat 1200 and they worked very good. I do not remember having to take another shot to finish off an animal. All the pellets worked great on anything I used it on and it stopped it instantly I would like to get my hands on some more of these great pellets.

Pellet review

By mrc

My Crosman 1088 did NOT like these pellets. Hollow points/pointed work just fine the T4/357 models use the same "clip" if i remember correctly.....Wasn't getting shots. As an above poster mentioned, the skirts of the pellets look deformed on a few which is a let down by Crosman..Will try them on my Crosman m4-177 and see! It MUST simply be a gun/pellet combo, ALL I use are Crosman brand pels.

1088 doesn't like these

By anonnamous

2013-11-03 09:30:55
Went through 4 "clips" on my crosman 1088 pistol. VERY few fired, where the pointed and hollow tips by Crosman work excellent. Will give another go on my rifle and see. I also noticed a few deformed skirts on the pellets that wouldn't fire. I think it's simply an issue with my gun/pellet combo. I maintain all my guns and it is NOT my gun. I am definitely NOT bashing these and compared to other similarly designed pellets these are by far the best bang for your buck...I don't want to state the name of the other competing pellet but seasoned air gunners know exactly which one I mean. Have fun and be safe! Skunks are punks.

just received my own crosman destroyers in .177 caliber i have maybe used about 20 of them so far just for targeting but they are extremely accurate out of the crosman nitro venom no flying pellets at all which i am extremely happy about and i dug one pellet out of a piece of dense wood i shot at and i was very impressed with the penetration and the amount of mushrooming pellet shrunk in sin size by about 1/2 it is an overall great pellet looking forward to getting it out into the field

Crosman Destroyer - Best Stopping Power Small Game

By GA_User

2013-05-22 11:55:03
We were being overrun by Squirrels. My wife has a lot of bird feeders/watering stations as we both like to watch the birds. The squirrels are attracted to the various seeds. I had wanted to "get rid"of the squirrels, but my wife said "NO" until they started eating through the feeders and supports that hold them up. I got a Gamo Silent Cat. I tried Gamo Ammo supplied as well as Crosman "hollow points". All of them would just zip all the way through the squirrels, which I would have to hunt down to get a final kill - taking 3 shots typically. Then I saw the ad on the Crosman Destroyer. I ordered 500. I had no trouble with zeroing the scope, and the "Group" at 30 yards is about 1/2 inch with the rifle supported. The Crosman Destroyer on squirrels is typically one shot in the chest and they seldom make it move than 5 to 10 feet with this mortal wound. Of the 11 squirrels taken with the Crosman Destroyer, only one had an exit wound -- all ammo disintegrated internally -- which results in the short movement before dying. I've only shot two of them twice, and only because they were still struggling to breath and I wanted them out of misery. -- The great part is that we now have at least twice as many birds since there are few squirrels to chase them away from the food. I heartily recommend the Crosman Destroyer for small game. Deadly stopping power and a very small 1/2 inch group.

Good pellets got them today. Consistent 1.5 inch groupings at forty yards with a crosman quest 1000x. A few flingers about every 20 pellets. Can get caught up in a breeze easily because of the light weight. Haven't shot any animals with it yet. Goes through a inch of plywood.

REALLY?

By Who Cares

I've read the reviews, I've shot these pellets (around 4000), I use a variable 9x20 X 5 yds. - Infinity focus range finder mil spec scope. Bench resting the weapon I use (crony gives a 1100 fps consistent reading + or- 50 fps), I can hold .25" plus or minus center @ 50 yds. using Destroyers. I've shot furry tail 'RATS" at 75 yds with no problem, provided you have some sort of a rest such as a bi-pod or tree fork. I modified my trigger assembly completely, but I digress, by now what type of weapon, REFURBISHED G1 EXTREME. Shooting against others shooters (SWAT group, one a government trained sniper, into the break barrel weapons for their kids) shooting other un-modified Break Barrel weapons and using other manufactured ammo, my grouping is by far tighter with the Destroyer. My kills are quick and lethal. As for the reviews, pellets dropping through barrels, YOU GOT THE WRONG SIZE, .177 in a .22, of course it falls out and groupings are non-existent! The review with not expanding, 350 fps doesn't have the ft # needed, run a crony to see your fps; you need a better consistent weapon with consistent 1000 fps.. The same goes for the “prairie dog: i.e. Richardson Ground Squirrel’s.” Winchester 500 .177 max fps is 500fps. The Super Point; pierces 1/2" plywood consistently with my weapon.

I've bought these pellets for 2 years now! I shoot them out of a Benjamin R2 series rifle. I've went through 6 cans! The accuracy of these pellets are crap now. It's not my gun because I've cleaned the gun. Made sure everything is tight. The gun has shot fliers all day long! But any pellets shoot fine in it. The pellets weight varied A LOT and the sized varied TONS! I've bought Crosman all my life. last this last year the pellets have getting wise.

(Please note, I'm using Crosman Destroyer EXs, available at wal mart for around 3$, also, shooting them out of a crosman phantom 1000: 1000 fps with lead)

I wasn't going to review these until I'd revovered a squirrel I'd shot with them. I was able to do that this morning. I hit her right through both shoulders. The entry wound was just regular .177 cal size. When I picked her up, I noticed quit a bit of blood on the exit wound side. After being skinned I looked at the exit wound side. The exit hole was literally around 1/2 an inch wide. The meat was all tore up around the hole to, I'm glad I didn't go much lower or the best part of the leg meat wouldn't have been very good. Anyway, I highly reccomend these pellets (or the destroyer ex's at least; the regular destroyers are probably very good too: Crosman seems to make real good stuff.)

Changed the shape!

By CajunHoss87

2012-10-14 14:35:01
The old destroyers were extremely accurate out of my Crosman 1377 carbine. I just tried the new destroyers from academy and they have a slightly different shape that the old destroyers. The new ones have a deeper skirt and a deeper hollow point. Also the rim of the head of the pellet is a little taller. I still had a few flyers as with the old, but the ones that do group are stacking. I guess the wider head rim is catching the rifling more than the old and the deeper skirt creates a greater F.O.C. to stabilize the pellets. It works. NOW PLEASE COME OUT WITH A"""""PREMIER DESTROYER""""" Accuracy is awesome, but we need precision too!!! We will by the $%$%$ out of those! One last note, the diameter must be a tad larger than the old destroyers because they are a tad bit harder to push into my modded 1377. That must help with engaging the rifling too. Thanks Crosman for your R/D work! Please, Please, Please create a one die set destroyer line like H&N, Beeman, JSB, and others have done! MADE IN AMERICA is BETTER! Let's show them!

I have a Crosman Phantom with a 4x32 scope on it. these pellets rip through robins and mice, also they tend to take out chunks of bone from birds. best pellet so far. by far better than the pointed pellet. i am proud of you Crosman for making this awesome ammo.

ive shot at richardson ground squirells, i have hit them in the chest with my winchester model 500 .177 using the destroyer. when the destroyer pellet hits, all it does is scare the crap out of them and make em run for cover, lol. every time it hits the "gopher" it dosent do any damage and never expands. i have used half of the container and not one kill. :(

I own a few crasman pistols and rifles. I've shot these with a crosman 1377 with no accuracy at all. The pellets did not fit the bore of the pistol. They slid right out if I held the pistol in a downward position. When I shot these out of my rifles. They lost volcity and accuracy.

Great

By Jack

2012-02-25 16:38:41
These are all-around great pellets. I use them in my Phantom 1000 and they are pretty accurate. The only reason I'm not a deadeye is because I suck at zeroing scopes and iron sights and I suck at judging bullet drop or rise or whatever. My only complaint is that they don't seem to work too well on squirrels and larger game. I had many squirrels get hit in their flanks and still run off, but I've also had some who get get shot in the same place and don't go anywhere. I also shot a crow today and I'm pretty sure I hit it dead in the back, that's where I saw the feathers come off. But it just shrugged it off and flew away. Otherwise great pellet, I have shot sparrows dead in the chest and I could have put a marble through the hole. If you want to test the ballistics just get a big bar of soft soap and shoot it.

I looked in Wal Mart for these because I heard good news about them, and they were really hard to find, but I managed to find one canister in the very back of the shelf, I went home, shot some stuff, and these work miracles. I use these in my Crosman 3576 and non-Crosman guns, and they all love these. Extremely acurate, and just good.

By RabbitHunter1234

Around our house one thing we like to eat, alot, is rabbits. And the only problem was when I shot them, they'd have enough time to run across the field and down into their holes, dinner gone. So I asked my best freind if he knew anything to do, he said to buy these, and once I put them in the ol' Pumpmaster 760, I was dropping rabbits like I was using a .22LR. If they made these in .22 I would probably blow a whole paycheck on them. I highly reccomend them to anyone and everyone. Dinner served.

Great hunting pellet for gray squirrels

By Joe Dz

2011-08-27 11:24:59
This is the most effective pellet I use with my Crosman Phantom 1000 in the 20-40 yard range for gray squirrels. It is much better than the Crosman pointed hunting pellet with this rifle and it does much more damage. If I use the pointed pellet, the squirrel usually runs away after being hit unless it was hit in a vital area and I have to go chase it down. Using the Destroyer pellet, it is a tad heavier (7.9g vs 7.4g) and it expands and has a much bigger exit hole in the squirrel and tends to drop the squirrel instantly or after it runs 5-10 feet. See my Phantom 1000 review for more information. Using a can filled with water, the exit hole is about the same as the pointed pellet but on a squirrel, the exit hole is about 2x the exit hole of the pointed pellet. I also find the Destroyer very accurate and consistant. I am just using the Phantom's fiber optic sights - no scope. I normally don't bother with gray squirrels - but they were chewing on my house.

Great pellet design!

By Ogre8472

2011-08-10 22:58:02
This is a great pellet! I've used this from crows to hard headed ground squirrels. It also happens to be my rifles favorite pellet. I use it exclusively now on squirrels because I know a hit will leave them dead.
Now if they would make it in .22! That would be even better.
