Mediocre

These pellets are ok. Lots of them have bent skirts and overall consistency is not great, but they still work ok. They are my Beeman RS2 .177 barrel's favorite pellet but they don't fit well in my Discovery's breech at all. I have to push really hard to get the bolt forward and down. Accuracy in my Discovery seems about average with these pellets. Overall I'd say they are not too bad but certainly not Crosman's best either.

Devastating pellets

I bought a tin of these and I can tell you, you will be impressed. They have amazing penetrating power, I have shot throughout 5 soup cans (10 walls of steel) with this before. I shot a house sparrow ( house sparrows are invasive in my area) and it blew its head of, I mean there was nothing left. It looked as if some surgically removed its head.

Exelent Pellet--Hard HITING--STABLE AND ACCURATE IN FAST GUN

By Tom Wood

I have been shooting this pellet for about a month now and I am impressed with it's accuracy and penetration. I recently bought a Crosman Vantage rifle with a Nitro Pistion. The pellet shot from that gun will not only pass thru a steel soup can,it will pass thru 3 steel soup cans, each larger than the next, nested one on top of the other. The pellet enters and exits all 3 cans.(That is 6 layers of steel wall.) After that it burys it's self in a 3/4 in plywood backstop.I have never seen a 177 cal pellet do that without fragmenting.

Best Magnum Air Rifle Pellet Available

By Bluegrassmoose

I have owned an RWS 350 magnum for 3 years. When I bought it I also bought a variety of pellets to test for both accuracy and penetration. The other pellets were Beamon Silver Arrow 11.5 grain, RWS 8.3 (?) grain domed, Gamo's BB head pellet (don't remember the weight). The first test was penetration. I started a 30' shooting at a 1/2" thick piece of plywood. All the pellets paased completely through. The next test was on a 3/4" thick piece of plywood. The RWS and GAMO did not pass through. The Beamon almost passed through but did not. It did make a large splinted spot on the back side but the pellet was stil in the plywood. The Crosman ultra magnum domed pellet passed completely through leaving a well splinted exit hole. I was quite impressed! I believe that as far as magnum air rifles, the 10.5 grain mass and this rifles ability to accelerate it, made for an energetic result.

Now for accuracy. Please note my rifle is unscoped and I am using the standard RWS iron sight arrangement. This pellet and the RWS were near equals, both being more consistent than the other two. But my final determination was the Crosman was the best. At 100 YARDS from a bench rest with iron sites after some site adjustment and practice I was able to run a string of 16 consecutive hits on a Coca Cola can. The reach and accuracy of these pellets stopped me from buying a scope. With these results with iron site at 100 yards, I felt I don't need one. I have killed many squirrels with this combo. Under 30 yards it is devastating to them. With good shot placement (often head shots), they either drop where they are shot or travel a very short distance. These pellets from this gun also carry their power well down range. I walked off the longest single shot squirrel I have killed. It was 87 yards.

Bottom line...if you have a magnum air rifle, look no further. You will not do better at any price from any maker. Also , just to note, the manufacturing quality is great. Good packaging too. I have not tossed out a single deformed pellet yet and I am on my second 500 piece tin.

Probably the best pellet in the world...

I used to shoot Air Arms Field Diabolo pellets and I got fed up with the seemingly perfect tins containing up to 30% of pellets that were deformed beyond use. this happened with various batch numbers, came from different shops. What is the use of buying ammo you cannot fire?

Then one day something happened that changed my world. I spotted a tin of Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums. Hell these were £5 less than the Air Arms, Crosman I had heard of (well we had a 2240 at the time), so I examined the packaging. Heavy pellets, better for pcp, made in the USA, even better, well I have to but these.

I am so glad I did, since I swapped to Crosman over 11 months ago I have not found 1 unusable pellet, that is right not 1, not a single pellet. Good grief! They are also more accurate in the BSA Super 10 and HW100, also the tin is better. Why spend £13 on a tin of pellets that undoes at the slightest provocation? The Crosman screw top tin is made from life resistant metal, has a lovely screw top and stops pellets getting damaged!

My Ultra Magnums have shot rabbit, pigeons, pheasants and squirrels! A wide range of varmints, all stopped one shot! If you want to look fancy then buy the AA, if youw ant to look like a hunter, buy Crosman!

Hard hitting for a .177!

On the heavy side like it says but its worth it. You need a powerful rifle for it to be worth it. This will go threw a steel soup can in my rifle so imagine what this will to to a squirrel or two.
