Steel Breech Kit (.22 cal)
steel breech kit and LPA MIM sight
I am a particular and hard to please person when it comes to what I expect from accessories. Having said this, the steel breech kit and LPA MIM sight are excellent accessories for your pistol. I installed both the steel breech kit and LPA MIM sight and I am completely satisfied with both. I purchased at two different times separately as I did not know about the LPA MIM sight. Because I did not know about the LPA MIM sight, I purchased (from another source) a different rear sight that was said to fit the steel breech; it fit onto the steel breech but shot very high and could not be corrected. I strongly advise that anyone buying the steel breech kit also buy the LPA MIM sight. It fit perfectly and was almost right on the bullseye upon installation even before I made an adjustment. The LPA MIM sight is adjustable for elevation and windage and very easy to install. One more thing: I advise making the purchase from Crosman for the best prices.
I did 2 steel breach swaps on our stock 1322's and was very impressed with how easy it was to do. Both guns were fitted with scopes; one a red dot, the other a little Crosman 4x scope. Both guns are accurate as all get out at 20 yards.....1/2" groups is the rule!
Pigeons, crows and rats, no problem!
I plan on getting the 2240 and starting another steel breach "modify" project soon.....
Only thing I could recomended to Crosman is if they could include a shorter breach bolt screw in the kit......that would make this kit perfect!
Stock Rear Site on Metal Breech
Graet upgrade I modified the stock rear site to fit the Metal breech
just shaped it to the grooves for scope works great.
This breech is great on the 1322
1322 install done in about 15 minutes with no experience
What i like about this breech;
added weight above handle makes the gun more comfortable to hold for me
bolt action is much more satisfying
easy to install
What i dont like
you need to get another rear sight
I was building a 2250 HPA and needed a steel breech. They get very expensive. I figured this ones only $30 bucks if its junk then no major loss. I was very impresses with the quality when it arrived. It is very simple to install and is very solid. The rear breech screw will need washers when reassembling with out the rear sight. Took me a minute to realize the screw was stoping me from being able to cock the gun. With out the rear sight it was it was too long and going into the area where the hammer spring is and stoped me from being able to pull the bolt to the rear. Simple fix. Over all very happy with this receiver and am planning another build for my other kid. Cant wait till they get more in stock.
Steel Breech (.22 cal)
The Steel Breech makes the 2240 feel like a real Pistol. It's a Very Good Up Grade.
