I dont know what all these idiots are complaining about, their probably using it to pump up their bike, The pump works just fine, its a little pricey but hey, what isnt these days, I would spend an extra 200 hundred and get the tank, but this works perfectly fine, these 1-2 star reviews have no idea what their talking about.

I got mine with the propick007 kit I have shot more than 1000 pellets through my gun.I only have one arm & weigh 195 Lbs,Yes after 2500 psi the pump gets a little hard. The gun I have shoots great till about 1200 psi.It takes 30 -40 pumps to get my gun back to 2900psi.And I shot my Marauder pistol abought 32-40 times before pumping air into the gun.If I have any other trouble, I will retype my review .MINE WORKS GREAT........ THANK YOU Benjamin/crosman

Benjamin PCP pump

In my opinion this pump is a waste of your money. Mine failed after less than 20 refills of my .25 marauder which works out to about ten bucks a pop. Don't be fooled by its appearance as the thing looks rather well made on the outside. In my experience and what I have read from most other reviews the internals just don't hold up. In the final analysis It is an expensive, and undependable piece of equipment. I am sorry I purchased it.

the pump needs high temp and high durability o-rings

By ex product mgt. crosman

As has been known by staff and sales at crosman the pump will always fail when built with black nitral o-rings. These o-rings fail to maintain size and break down into gummy particulate under high heat and friction. Hey squish air and you get high heat and friction. The remedy is to use urethane o-rings (normally clear to milky color) that have resistance to lubricants, heat and high friction. It adds $20.00 to the retail price therefore will never happen in the box. So get to know your pump by rebuilding it with utethane o-rings and only use synthetic oil or grease. I have used my pump 100+ times at 3000 psi and it has just locked up. I dissambled and found black goo and disingrating o-rings. I am on the hunt for a urethane o-ring rebuild kit. I expect to pay $16.00 to $25.00 for a complete urethane o- ring rebuild kit. i might even buy two kits and put one up for future use.
note walmart sells synthetic oils and grease for fishing rods. if you need a fast local source for pump oil.

Benjamin PCP pump

I just received my pump and filled my MAR77. I only filled to 2000# as it became a bit hard on me - I'm 77 years old - but to this point it seems to work fine. Filling to 2000# the pump did not heat up at all, I took a little rest at 1000# and then finished at 2000#. I'm hoping that I do not experience any of the problems of others who have purchased this unit. A person using this hand powered unit must understand some rules of physics. It being a 3 stage pump built into a small cylinder naturally makes it only raise pressure as the pump reaches the lower extreme of the pump. Here comes the heat factor. Take a rest at the 1000 - 2000 points and then finish off the last 1000 if you need to. I find that a charge of 2000 will provide me with more than enough shots to have an enjoyable day. Then refill the gun and be ready for the next session.

Spend the money on a NON crosman hpa tank

By Rob B

The pump seemed well built, and easy to use at first. I had watched other youtube reviews that stated if you pump slowly, and carefully without letting the pump get too hot that it would last a long time. Ive gotten 2 weeks and less than 350 shots ( math works out to 1094 up-down strokes of the pump until failure) worth of pumping for my .25 marauder....needless to say im dissapointed even if i paid $175 for the pump. Something has become jammed or disassembled itself in the pump so that on the up (pulling) stroke your doing 99% of the work and the down stroke gets 1/2 inch to do the work. This was NOT how the pump operated for the first week and a half, and the problem reversed its self for about 10 pumps today...only to revert to its useless state again. Pumping it was a non issue for my 180 lb frame so im not complaining about that. Being as i am a handy guy with mechanical engineering knowledge i know that the pump is going to be a workout, but it failed SO prematurely. If it didnt void the warranty i would just rebuild it myself. TWO WEEKS CROSMAN! TWO WEEKS! come on, were spending hard earned money in a down economy for your products. Im working out the warranty claim on this thing, getting it rebuilt and putting it away until i get a tank.

The life span without rebuilding is a joke. They should tell you that this expensive pump is going to last up to ten refills of your gun then rebuild. If they sold a service plan on these the manufacturer would be broke hiring people to fix these.

pump lasted just long enough for the warranty to run out before it failed. outer part of pump tube rusted corroded causing seals to fail. its so bad i don't think it can even be repaired. don't waste your hard earned cash on this cheaply made pos.

I love my Marauder; but I hate my Benjamin pump. It has failed three times twice under warranty. Repaired myself with kit sent to me. Worked for awhile - failed again. They sent me a new pump. The second pump has failed also. probably used it less than a dozen times.
