Chip Hunnicutt

Chip learned about the outdoors while deer hunting during annual cousin hunts at Oakland Plantation along the Cape Fear River in southeastern North Carolina.  Offshore fishing was a passion in his early years, with many mornings beginning with long rides to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream with his Dad and two brothers.

Chip has pursued hogs in the South Carolina lowcountry, elk in the Colorado high country, and bison, mule deer and pheasant in the Dakotas. Most recently he hunted in New Zealand where he took four SCI-qualifying animals: Red Stag (451), Elk (391), Tahr (23.5) and an Arawapa Ram (103). He and his wife remain avid whitetail hunters and in 2009 Chip developed the only iPhone application approved by both Safari Club International and Boone & Crockett Club for scoring big game animals.

Since joining Crosman in 2010 as the Web and Social Marketing Manager, Chip has enjoyed the challenges of small game hunting with air guns, “a low cost of entry makes airgunning a great option for extending the hunting season.  I am particularly excited about the urban applications for these Benjamin air guns, whether you’re a wildlife officer dealing with coyotes, a deer hunter biding time in a treestand or you’re simply wanting to keep critters out of the backyard.”
