Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed This is my first PCP rifle. I placed a BSA red dot scope on it and it is vey accurate. Been using it for target practice and hits consistent. I'm thinking of using it for hunting this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and accurate I bought mine 6 month ago and glad I did. The scope is more than adequate for the power of the rifle. I can shoot 1 inch shot groups at 25 yards. A more accomplished shooter could have the same group at 40 to 50 yards. The rifle is light and easy to handle. I'm 54 years old and the rifle is very easy to pump. Great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic entry level PCP! Out of the box, with a barrel cleaning, this rifle puts 10 shots of CPUM 14.3g in the same hole @ 20yd. Ave FPS is just over the stated velocity @ 866fps. Super easy to hand pump to 2000psi ( I weight in at 135#). Great bright scope with AO. I purchased this directly from Crosman and am very satisfied with the quality/price point of my first PCP. Thank you Crosman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value package Bought my Benjamin Maximus 22 Hunter combo about 2 months ago as my first PCP. It is easy to hand pump, very accurate right out of the box. I use it mostly for plinking and Maximus will hit penny at 25 yards consistently. Only thing trigger was a bit heavy for my liking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wanted more power and this has it A few months ago I purchased the Maximus Euro .177 model and enjoyed it so much I got the Maximus Hunter .22 to add a little more lead for a wood chuck digging under my barn. Out of the box the psi was in the low area and it took 50 pumps to get to 1,000 psi, but then only 25 more to get to 2,000 psi. The gage on the pump and the one on the gun get you to an area approximating these values. I have found that if I shoot 20 shots I only have to pump 40 or so to get it back to 2,000 psi. I have a chronograph and have been a shooter and reloader most of my life, but I did not want to mess with it, I just wanted to have fun shooting. I shoot up to 22 yards and have not seen a change in the bullet drop between 1,000 and 2,000 psi. It shoots Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums 14.3 with the best groups, but Crosman hollow points 14.3 and JSB jumbo diabolo 15.89 also do fine. The groups opened up using Beeman Crow Mags 18.8. I shoot better groups at 20 yards with the .22 and 6x scope than I do with the Euro .177 and a Hawk 7 power scope and do not know why. I sit in my garage and shoot out the rear entrance door and maybe the heavier pellets have an effect on it, It certainly wouldn't be because of my 74 years and bad eyes, would it? I have springers, RWS 54- 34P, HW-30--HW-95 etc, but find it easier to pump than cock all, but the HW-30. One more thing, the finger trigger pressure increases the lower you hold your finger on the trigger. Thinking pulling the trigger at the bottom of it would lessen the pressure to shoot the rifle was wrong. It takes less pressure when you place your finger in the grove made for it and I believe the trigger return spring may not need to be lessened.
