I bought several of these scopes/aiming devices. I have them on two .22 rifles, a .22 target pistol and my cross bow. The sight is easy to adust and provides more accuracy and speed of aim thant any notch or peep sight I have used on the smaller caliber guns.

I think some of those who put up poor grades did not understand the operation of such a view. The idea is that the red dot is the center of the sight. The dot shows the alignment of the point of impact with the spotlight. The telescopic view work differently in these if the spotlight is the center. Here the red trace the point of impact of the projectile. That way you only have to align a point on the target, instead of two vantage points, as with conventional fixed sights.
