excellent

i have one with just the optic sights no scope. use it to clear small pests large squirrels and assorted birds from my storage shed just caught one at over 500ft shot with dead aim excellent accuracy combined with good power makes an easy takedown.

A nice nondescript wood stocked rifle, benefits from using the "artillery" hold. The trigger in this level gun can be improved with an aftermarket. It benefits from a better scope with a one piece mount as well. So its good for pesting as a sub $100 gun, can be improved with scope and trigger and still be under $200. All the important bits are metal and its quite a good balance of heft and carry ability.

Ok gun

This is a good gun but don't buy it just because it comes with a scope.I like it because it has good velocity.Scope is not very good.I just put one of my 22 scopes on it.

Go to rifle

For the price you can't beat this rifle. I have a friend who has high dollar springers, Beeman, RWS, etc and at 20 to 30 yards my Storm XT holds it own. As for pellets, it loves the Crosman Premier Domed 7.9 gr. I also own the Crosman Quest 800x .22 rifle and it is my favorite .22 air rifle. If you want learn how to tinker with your air rifles this is the rifle for you. There is a lot of information online for tuning and Crosman customer service, and parts availability can't be beat.
