Just a great starter rifleThis was my first air gun. Purchased in 2003 and 20 years later it still works fantastic. Accuracy in more than you'd expect from such a cheap gun. Range is limited to about 50 yards. Expect 450 FPS from 14.3 grain Crosman ammo. About 60 shots per CO2 (I think that is where the 60 in 2260 comes from). Despite having multiple PCP air rifles, this gun still has my heart. Just a great gun. Light, accurate, not too loud, and a lot of fun.

PLEASE LET ME PURCHASEReally Want To Purchase This Rifle, as well as older model air rifles. Love the pumped older rifled, still have old rusted airguns in my collection from crosman. PLEASE SELL!

Excellent RifleI bought mine a few years before first discontinued mid 2000's. And am still amazed it performance ! I never modified it ,still stock basic . I used the Crosman line of pellets and a few alloy light weight for increased velocities ,occasionally . And accuracy still perfect for targets. This rifle is one of my favorites to shoot along with the 2240 and 2210 .22 co2 guns also. Great that this co2 rifle is going to be manufactured again.

Great air rifle for the whole family.I like the traditional look of this rifle. The walnut stock on mine is excellent. The rifle is accurate and just plain fun to shoot. I'm glad Crosman has made this rifle available again. I'm a big fan of the wood and steel air rifles of the past from Crosman.

I would advise anyone interested in a target rifle or even small game you can't go wrong ! I have 6 Crosmans over the years and they're the first I look at,and buy!I ordered my Heritage 2260 to be assembled in Bloomfield on Feb.19th and received it on the 25th of Feb. NOT BAD! And for those of you "blogging" about the wood, this one compares to the best of them! I don't care if it's palm wood ,it's beautiful! It's now sporting a "steel" breech and a barrel break inside an hour and a half of coming in the door with it! Trigger is next,because it was 8 degrees below this morning. Very pleased how it shoots at my cellar 10 meter targets. My advice to Crosman , to discontinue this rifle would be ludicrous , as a very well priced and easy to work on rifle. I'll write later when I get it " tweeted - in" on a few Blue Jays!
