In 2005, Crosman established the Crosman Friend of Youth Shooting Award, to recognize an individual whose commitment to excellence in youth shooter education and dedication to a lifetime of safe shooting have enhanced the future of the sport.

Entering its fourth year, the Award is presented at the annual Crosman SHOT Show International Reception and is attended by a cross-section of Crosman's international distributors and customers, industry VIP's, former Award winners and the press. The first three winners, Bob Soldivera, Jim Smith and Dr. William Christy were recognized for their lifelong commitment in making shooting accessible and attractive to young people. All of them have been responsible for countless thousands of young shooters taking up the sport and sticking with it for a lifetime. Each award winner receives a commissioned painting by local artist, Kirby Kiser.
