Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for being Quite! These are perfect for a hard hitting heavy pellet. They are very quite due to the weight and they are very accurate. I would say you can definitely use these for hunting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tight groups 10-30 yards from a Gauntlet These pellets were purchased at the local wallmart for use in a Gamo Spring Gun but they did not shoot well at all from it? Probably the gun as it would not group well at any range. Decided to try a PCP rifle i got a Umarex Gauntlet and put a 4 x12 40mm AO Vortex scope on it. After zeroing at 20 yards it shot 10 round groups that were about 2 pellet widths wide, just a ragged hole! Tested at 30 yards and got the same group only slightly high on the 1 inch dot target. These are out of the can pellets, no weighing ,sorting or sizing was done,I am too lazy for that. I highly recommend these for PCP rifle use. I did have two times that the pellets got turned around and pushed in backwards and the bolt would not fully close. Stuck real tight so had to buy a rod to push them out, guess i needed a rod anyway. Now I watch as i chamber individual rounds!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as happy as I would have liked to have been... I bought three of these tins with faith having grown up with Crosman pellets during the 70's and 80's for my pumpers, but now a magnum air rifle kinda guy now owning two Benjamin Trails (spring and nitro), a Crosman Nitro Venom, a Diana RWS 34 and a Gamo Big Cat 1250 in .177 and can't get these things to group worth anything. I have to use heavier pellets in my magnums for keeping under the sound barrier and precision, and I can hear all the screaming about: "Well Gamo and Diana are not Crosman!" on the forums, but shouldn't they fly well in a Crosman, let along fit? Seating these in my Crosman's takes some effort and a sore thumb or forefinger after 25 shots. I don't mind the snugness, really, but not holding a group in attempts to zero at 12 - 15 or 25yds? [Distances measured with a surveyor's wheel / zero wind / same ambient temperature for testing all guns / Chronny fps ranges from 890 - 1095 depending on rifle]. Not the guns or the scopes on any of them, even cleaned them and tried again to no avail. Not going to name the three brands publicly that work spot-on because that would be rather rude, but they are not made in America, too expensive for the shot count, but they can do a two shot zero with the most minimal amount of tweaking. Sigh, had hoped to stand by these and get more shots for the incredible value that these 500ct tins go for. Crosman makes good guns, but still scratching my head here.
