Benjamin Trail NP2 Hardwood (.22) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7.Rated 4 out of 5 by stuck in illinois for now from Accurate rifle I have had this rifle for 18 months and put over 2000 pellets through it. AFTER properly breaking it in, it settled down and gives respectable groups at 30yds. I've hunted squirrels, rabbits, and raccoons with it. I received an upgraded scope and it holds zero even after a day of banging around the woods. I gave it 4 stars because the wood version I have is a bit heavy, but I new that going in. ALL air rifles have a breaking in period where the barrel needs leading and the internal workings wear and settle in. NEVER fire a break barrel rifle without a pellet in the barrel or damage may occur to the piston. Also, these Nitro Piston rifles cock and shoot sooo much smoother than my springers!Date published: 2017-11-23Rated 3 out of 5 by Baffled in CA from Broke on the first dayof shooting Really liked this rifle. Shoots very well Unfortunatley the sound baffle in the suppression system is made of plastic or abs and broke after about 50 shots on the first day The end came flying out of the barrel and landed about 15 yards down rangeDate published: 2017-12-28Rated 1 out of 5 by tagius from Loud and poor accuracy This airgun is loud and has poor accuracy. Has a 6-7" grouping. Also, very difficult to cock.Date published: 2018-06-28Rated 5 out of 5 by KLS777 from Great gun I bought this gun about a month ago I've installed several Scopes in my life this one was a little more difficult than most. I've only put about 50 rounds through it and hoping the groups get closer as I shoot more roundsDate published: 2018-12-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Jlittle44 from Solid Performance So far I’ve got about 500+ rounds through this rifle. I bought it because it was heavy and wanted to train my arms to shoot better offhand while hunting with center fire. I really started to like the gun though, and now it has replaced my Benjamin 392 for pretty much everything. That is a big compliment, because I’ve been shooting air guns for over 30 years and my 392 has always been most trusted. This last only happened because I bought a lighter trigger spring. (Super easy to replace) The trigger is now unbelievable and the rifle is a tack driver. The power is just incredible for such a simple action. There is not a springer break barrel in the world that can compare to the smooth action, and low recoil of this new NP2. It is really a joy to shoot. If this rifle holds up over the years as I expect it to, I can’t see a need to ever buy another hunting/pest/target rifle. This rifle punches way over it’s price tag. I gave away an RWS 48 to make room in the safe for this rifle, and cannot remember ever making a better decision with any gun. Lastly, for all that is holy in America, Crosman please bring back the AIR 16.Date published: 2018-08-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Harvestmaster from Great Rifle I've never purchased a air rifle of this quality in this price range ever super gun.Date published: 2017-12-25Rated 4 out of 5 by billy67 from tank ! Real good shooter, very accurate -most pleasing in everyb wayDate published: 2018-03-06
