Crosman Introduces A New Competition PCP Air Pistol January 17, 2012 News, Press Releases Twitter0Facebook0LinkedIn0 Crosman Corporation, long known for innovation and quality in products for the shooting sports, has introduced a match-grade, pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) target pistol that is capable of five-shot groups of less than 3/8 of an inch at 10 meters. The new Crosman Competition PCP Air Pistol 1720T is a single-shot, .177 caliber pistol. It features muzzle velocity of up to 650 fps with a 10.5 grain pellet and 750 fps with a 7.9 grain pellet. According to Tom Clark, Crosman product manager, the new 1720T competition PCP air pistol has a number of important advantages for the silhouette and field target competitor. “Aside from its ideal balance, weight and feel, the 1720T features a 12-inch, match grade, Lothar Walther® barrel that is choked for accuracy and shrouded for quiet shooting. The two-stage adjustable trigger can be fine-tuned for the length of pull, over-travel and pull weight you desire,” he said. “And, a 3/8 inch dovetail mounting rail is convenient for installing just the right sight. With an overall weight of 2.5 pounds, a reversible bolt and anodized aluminum housing, we believe the 1720T has everything the competitive shooter is looking for, all at an affordable price,” said Clark. The Crosman 1720T Competition PCP air pistol has an MSRP of $499.00 and will be available in the spring.
