It was another crazy day here at the Shot Show. I met so many great people with so much passion for airguns and the shooting sports. Our new product releases are still getting a lot of attention and generating a lot of excitement. I have a lot to report back on the new guns, a lot of pictures and follow up reports are going to go up right here on the blog when I get back next week.

The highlight of today was our annual Friend of Youth Shooting Award reception. This is an award that we give out to an individual that has shown dedication to youth shooting. Someone who actively works to foster the next generation of shooters, which is crucial to keep this sport we all love alive.

This year’s award winner was Debbie Lyman, she is a wonderful instructor from Connecticut that has worked tirelessly to enrich the lives of young people through the shooting sports. There will be a full biography of her put up on the site early next week.

We also gave out a new one-time award to Ed Stack the CEO of Dick’s Sporting Goods. The Spotlight on Youth Shooting Award is in honor of the Dick’s Outdoor Adventure tour. This unique event traveled the country from store to store and helped introduce 30,000 new shooters to airguns.

We honored the recipients at a wonderful reception. It was a really great opportunity to talk with airgunnners from every aspect of the sport as well as some of our retail partners both here and over seas.

It was my last full day at the show. There will be a lot of follow up posts on the new products and the show coming next week so keep checking back.

Thanks for reading.
