West coast field target shooters are taking advantage of favorable weather to put points on the board for the Crosman National Field Target Series. Randy Ebersole of Ashland, Oregon leads all shooters with 471 points, followed by Scott Hull and Bob Pont of California.

The Crosman National Series is a partnership with the American Airgun Field Target Association to promote participation in the sport. The season runs mid-October to the following fall, when the competition season ends with the AAFTA Nationals, hosted in 2016 by the Southern Michigan Gun Club in Mattawan. The Crosman series includes scores from all competitors shooting Crosman or Benjamin air rifles or pistols. Bonuses are awarded for competing in AAFTA Grand Prix events, the AAFTA Nationals or the Crosman All-American Championship.

“Nearly 50 shooters have qualified and with clubs across the country announcing their spring schedules, we anticipate participation to accelerate,” said Chip Hunnicutt, Marketing Manager for Crosman.
