M4-177 (.177/BB) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like a Super 760 It has a rifled barrel to make best use of the pellet clip. M-4 gives solid accuracy up to fifteen yards. With Crosman Points it is a viable hunting weapon at closer ranges. 7 pumps always for reliable accuracy and power that can punch through soup cans. Also any concerns over plastic body, are missing a huge improvement - the barrel is protected by the plastic outer shell. No more wiggling barrel. Any parts that break are readlily replaceable through Crosman parts department...including trigger. Crosman diagrams, and YouTube videos for 760, make repairs a snap. The many affordable UTG upgrades (point sight, sling, bi-pod) put this pump rifle on the must have list. Proper Pellgun oil lubing will keep the power high and pumping easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product We just purchased this, and are really enjoying it. Solidly built, great weight and feel, and the ability to fire pellets or BB's is a great idea. The only puzzling thing is why it comes with only 1 pellet clip / strip, yet the magazine storage piece is clearly made to hold 2 clips / strips. Are they so expensive for Crosman to make that they can only afford to include 1 of them?! Especially after we paid almost $200.00 after taxes for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ease of loading pellets I bought this gun about a year ago, and the performance is very good. It’s pretty accurate, and loading it is easy with the clip, though Crosman could probably afford to add another spare with purchase. I’ve owned many airguns in the past, and Crosman always makes good, accurate products at affordable prices. I would not recommend using BB’s, since they will wear down the grooves in the barrel, compromising accuracy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So much good about the M4-177KIT, but 1 Major Flaw First I want to say that the Crosman M4-177KIT (with "Carry Handel" version) I bought is an impressive looking and close to medium range shooter with various pellet types. At 10 to 15 yards it nearly makes one (large) jagged hole in 5 hots with "wadcutter" type pellets, something I would not expect from a low cost "plastic" pump airgun. The good rifled steel .177 barrel no doubt is the reason, but don't shoot steel BB's or it'll wear out the rifling in the barrel fast. It look like a real M4 (almost, the front sight /mount assembly is wrong) but over-all mostly accurate. I was in the USAF (Helicopter pilot) during Vietnam and we trained with the original M16, the M4 wasn't around then, but the general "feel" is so similar, though to Crosman is much lighter. NOW the "Flaw", a major weakness in this M4-177 is the stock attachment to the receiver, mine snapped off at this point within the first week when I braced the stock next to my abdomen while holding the back of the receiver to pump the rifle. It snapped the far too thin plastic "flanges on the stock at the slide on attachment point of the M4's receiver body. I feel it's a design flaw, the plastic is too thin and too brittle and the flanges which aren't ONE piece for added strength are too easy to break. After the USAF I became a cop, and because I've worked on guns since a kid on a farm, the departments "armorer" (gunsmith) repairing and modifying dept weapons. I tried to epoxy the flange parts back on, but even Epoxy glue is not strong enough. If I were an engineer at Crosman, I would change that design to a "one piece" part of a tougher thicker plastic that has some flexibility, or use carbon fiber.; or make the receiver and stock tube a One Piece casting. I think I will look for an aftermarket collapsing M4 stock to modify to the Crosman M4 receiver. I'm afraid you have to be too careful with this very nice air-rifle when using it and that kinda hurts the "fun factor". Otherwise I love the rifle for our out-of-control rabbit / squirrel / crow problem extermination and fun "plinking" with the grand-kids. Let me know when you have a better design, I'd love to try it and review it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The stock broke while I was pumping it the stock broke while I was pumping it with the stock resting in my armpit. it broke clean off and there is no way in repairing it

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fun to shoot; not robust I owned two of these. Both developed cracks around the pump hinge within a few hundred rounds. Both had triggers fail within a year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's Good It's this gun is the M4 or the Colt Commando? It looks similar to these guns.
