Pumpmaster 760 (.177/BB) is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 31.Rated 4 out of 5 by sas_the_zombie_hunter from Okay for hunting I bought my Pumpmaster a few years ago when it used to say for Pest Control, Target and planking and I've used it for hunting a lot of times you just have to know how to use it I like hunting the fox squirrel and Eurasian collared dove since it's legal in my area to do so, I've dropped multiple doves with four pumps, today I got a fox squirrel Square in the head with 10 pumps 4-6 pumps don't have the power to take down a squirrel just make sure to have heavy pellets about 10.5 or 10.6 and make sure it's a square on headshot right above the eyes and you should hit the brain and when I get a pellet gun to replace it for the backyard hunting I will give my Pumpmaster to my niece.Date published: 2017-08-27Rated 4 out of 5 by Upfinn from Decent for price. Picked up this pellet rifle for my boys to practice shooting. I was hoping for it to be like the one I had as a kid, it's not as high of quality. However it does have decent accuracy, at 10 meters I can group 3 pellets into a nickel size group with quality RWS supermag pellets and a scope with six pumps. the fore end needs to be wider, i have pinched my had pumping for the kids . Also the sights are ok, but a finer front blade would be better and maybe a fiber optic. Overall for the price, it's a decent little pellet rifle. Not a competition rifle but a decent little air rifle to teach and plink with.Date published: 2017-07-19Rated 1 out of 5 by LonnyM from Not the same 760 I had as a kid. I had one as a kid, that was an awesome gun. This was back in the mid 70's. I gave it to my friend about 10 years for his son. I wished I never gave it away. My son is just getting of age to start plinking some targets and I thought this would be a great Christmas present. I pulled it out of the package to try it out. Very cheap feeling. All plastic. Difficult to load BB's. Difficult to chamber the BB. I have a Daisy that Red Ryder that is wood and steel. Great for plinking cans. The 760 is not user friendly like the older model. I am glad I tried it first. I will be returning it to Cabela's which will not be a problem. Very disappointed!Date published: 2017-12-18Rated 3 out of 5 by Chadster1975 from Meant for fun, not meant for serious use. I've had this BB gun for years and it works just fine for what it is. It's not meant for shooting at anything with a heartbeat. It's not meant for any kind of shooting competition. This is a starter gun that is meant for a paper target from 30 to 60 yards and nothing else. If your intention is for literally anything else you need to step up to another gun. If you just want to throw a few BB's through some paper in your backyard or basement this gun is cheap and will hold together for many years.Date published: 2017-05-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Pontius Pilate from Sweet Rifle | Great Value I didn't know what to expect for the price, but this rifle is amazing. Once I sighted it in, I've had no trouble hitting invasive species birds at quite a distance. I use BBs for closer shots and pellets for longer shots. This is a tremendous value and heck of a purchase. Now I am dying to get a .22 rifle from Crosman, I just need to make up my mind! I've been telling all of my friends about Crosman since I got it :)Date published: 2017-11-19Rated 5 out of 5 by Stevo from Fun plinker and great value! This air gun is a good choice for indoor plinking, and much more accurate than expected, for a smoothbore. The light weight is a nice feature, and I really like the current design. The trigger pull is decent, and the pumping effort is so easy. It is very quiet with 2 pumps, and really excels with Destroyer pellets, which tend to grip the target and not ricochet. The 5 pellet magazine just adds to the fun. BB’s are an inexpensive alternative, and it’s good to know they won’t be damaging any rifling when they are used. Since I don’t hunt, I don’t want a powerful air gun, and of course I don’t want to disturb my adjoining neighbors. So for some indoor plinking fun, the quiet little 760 is ideal.Date published: 2018-02-12Rated 5 out of 5 by powerhaus from Great air gun! I have an older pumpmaster that was given to me, with a stainless steel barrel and a 4x15 scope. A very good quality for the price, truly a deal! Especially since mine has the rifled barrel. Something you do not see in most cheaper guns today. Using Copperhead BBs the accuracy is not that great , max effective rage: 10 ft. approx. or less. With Crosman DestoyerEX pellets and Gamo RedFire pellets, the accuracy is very good and consistent. 5 pumps with a DestroyerEX at 12yds approx. put a starling out of action with one shot! Very impressed! Also , 10 pumps with Gamo RedFire pellet , put a chipmunk out. One Shot , One Kill!!!! P.S. Have had the gun over 5 years and no noticable power loss or accuracy loss, with no problems.Date published: 2017-07-18Rated 1 out of 5 by buddy888 from disappointing i purchased this last xmas thinking i couldn't go wrong with this since it's an all time classics... well i was wrong. i picked up the gun today to play around and the bolt stopped working. pump continues to work but the trigger didnt do anything. i was totally disappointed and decided to go w/ another air gun, but not with crosman this time.Date published: 2017-09-29
