Tormentor Whisper 380 is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal. Bought this for my daughter. Easy to cock for 185 lb pull. Quiet for a crossbow. Shoots accurate. You could spend way more and get way less. Great deal. Bought mine online for under 400 bucks to my door. You can't go wrong. My old barnett I gave away not even close in comparison. My barnett wasn't half of what this is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this crossbow I've only had this crossbow for about 1 week, but I have shot it a bunch in that time. So far it's working out fantastic! This is my first crossbow and it was very easy to put together and get set up! I got a dozen aftermarket Bloodsport bolts and some hundred and twenty-five grain field points and it's been nothing short of a tack driver. Seems like a fantastic deal for all the features you get versus the price and I know Crossman is there to stand behind their product! Great job guys!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good starter crossbow I was surprised at the quality of this product, its great. I read the reviews regarding the scope and the BDC. It will be different depending on the arrow you use and the weight of the tip/broad head. The scope has a lot of eye relief (similar to a rifle scope) and the stock is compact so you have to mount the scope as far forward as possible. I think that's the issue some people have been having. As far as the screws coming loose, the first instructions are to ensure all screws are tightened before use and states they may need to be re-tightened. I have had no issues regarding this. I love everything about this bow except the fact that the stock is not adjustable, if it had the same stock as the Gladiator 405 I would have given it 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great crossbow for the price. It sighted in rather quickly. I took a shot at a deer at 45 yards which passed clean through using supplied arrows with mechanical broad heads. Only problem I experienced with the bow is the tension spring had loosened during sight in and I did had an arrow slide of the rails while aiming at a deer. Easy enough to fix. Very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast, quiet, accurate I bought the Whisper 380 at Dunham's on Thanksgiving day for my son's girlfriend. Brought it home, assembled it and took it out to sight it in. The first time I used the ropes to cock the bow I (mistakenly) wrapped the rope around the scope mount instead of the handle and snapped the bolt retention spring. I called customer support 800-724-7486 and John answered on the first ring. I told him about my stupid mistake and asked of he had any for sale. He happily offered to send me one for free and I happily agreed. Got it fixed a few days later, gave it to her and hit dead center bullseye at 30 yards. Bow is quiet, fast and accurate. She is going to kill a lot of deer for less than $250.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Crossbow for the money! Great crossbow. Awesome trigger. Super quiet. Seems to be well made. Would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the poor instructions, and scope that couldn't be sighted in. Ran out of height adjustment at 10 yards and was still 4 inches low! Put a Nikon Bolt scope on top and it is perfect! Also, not sure who designed the forward grip, but it is just a big piece of plastic. Put a magpul foregrip on! Also, I contacted the company through this site and their facebook page about the scope and they have yet to respond! It was a week ago! With all that said and a couple tweaks, great crossbow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent x now for the $$$ I bought this bow from dunham's two weeks before season began last year after my Barnett predator blew up in my face. I really like the bow for its size and accuracy right from the box. I would recommend an aftermarket scope with any "package". Their ok but not much quality. I shoot bloodsports with grim reaper broadheads and haven't been disappointed yet. However, one of the most satsatisfying things about having a successful shot with this bow is that you can rub it in your sceptical buddy's face that he thought he had to spend $1300 on a ten point to shoot a deer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Consistent problems Bought couple months ago and nothing but problems. Loose screws in rail for scope, problems with anti fire feature and after doing research found it was shipped without bolt retainer spring. 3 calls to customer service later still waiting on part. First two reps assured me that center point NEVER had quality or safety issues, apparently they haven't read the reviews on center points own website. I don't feel Centerpoint cares about making things right, seem way more interested in selling sub par product and insisting if there are issues it has to be consumer related, can't possibly be their product. So one month into archery season and still using my compound. You get what you pay for. I'll fix this pile and sell it so I can buy a Ten Point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great crossbow I bought the Tormentor 380 Whisper 2 months ago. I have been a bowhunter for many years and finally had to give up my compound because of shoulder problems. Last year I took my rifle to fill my tag, it just wasn't the same. My family convinced me to look at crossbows, I decided on the Tormentor 380 because of the great features it offered. Not the least bit disappointed. It assembled easily, sighted in quickly, it's so much quieter than I expected. Could not be happier I would recommend this crossbow to anyone. Great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable service Last fall while hunting I dropped my Whisper Tormentor 380 and broke the quiver mounting bracket. I contacted Crosman to see if I could purchase a replacement and how I would go about ordering this. I was totally amazed to find the part I needed in my mail box a week and a half after only requesting the information about ordering it. Crosman sent me the part I needed (at no charge) solely on my request for information and without me even ordering it. Sure is nice to know such companies still exist. Thank you Crosman

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product! I bought a Whisper 380 this weekend and after about a 15 min assembly and a 15 min session at the range it was sighted in an on the mark! Repeat ability is amazing, this thing will thread the needle so to speak. I stretched the the range out to 65yrds and it grouped at 1"...Outstanding product and value! Very pleased and have already spread the word that this is the one to get. Thank you for putting such great value and performance in this very affordable package! keep up the good work guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A company makes its name in service and quality First a comment about the bow itself I bought this bow after my stepfather bought a crossbow from a company with the same name as a legendary sword. I did a bunch of research and found the tormentor at a much better value. I love how it shoots faster, quieter and with a smoother trigger than my stepfather's much more expensive bow I think he regrets not buying a centerpoint especially when my safety sets when the string is cocked his does not!. Next for service I don't want to get into too much detail with the concern I had because that's not the noteworthy part what is important is that after less than 2 mins on the phone I had a fair and adequate resolution I'll tell everyone interested in a crossbow about not only the great quality, but the great service I received from centerpoint Thanks again guys

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tormentor Success in Kansas I had the opportunity to head West and try out my new Tormentor in Kansas to fill my archery tag. The Whisper 380 did not disappoint. It was easy for me to put together (took about 10 minutes) and then spent another 20 minutes on the range. It was VERY easy to sight in, after about 8 bolts I was dialed in out to 40 yards and ready to go. The groupings were tight and I had 100% confidence in my weapon. I look forward to using it again for the New York State opener this year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang for the Buck (4 legged kind!) First crossbow. Only took about 15 minutes to assemble. Three bolts to zero in the scope at 10 yds and dead on at 20. Good weight balance, easy to hold on target. Only complaint is the bolts supplied with the crossbow are not that good. Second shot into the easy-pull target and the insert/practice tip came out and are lost in the target. Found that one of the other two was a bit loose so I will need to remove and reglue that one. The safety switch is also a bit loud.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Totally disappointed Bought the Sniper 370 last year and was very happy with it. Shot well and was very accurate out to 50 yards. Gave it to my son and bought the Whisper 380. What a mistake. Out to 30 yards it groups shots on top of each other. Beyond that the groups are so bad that I would not even consider a shot on game beyond 30 yds. After 40 - 50 shots the scope mounting rail came loose so I had to remove the scope and Loctite the screws back in. The scope is the worst I have ever seen. Hold over hash marks are too small to see well and impossible to see in low light due to no lighted reticle. Part way through the season the lens at the eye piece came loose. I took the scope apart and fixed it, but it's probably no longer waterproof. Trying to finish the season so I can sell this and purchase a different brand of crossbow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buy a tube of locktite! The bow shoots well. It's consistent. My biggest issue are all the screws coming loose. After shooting things started to loosen up. The scope mount came loose, stirrup came loose. I pulled every screw that I could and applied the locktite. Things are better now. Scope works but im not a fan. Just hard to see. Too many tiny lines in such a small area. Forget shooting in low light conditions. Simply put the scope is cheap. Currently looking to replace it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Safety problems I purchased this crossbow because I could no longer shoot a compound bow due to a disability and it would Safford me the opportunity to once again hunt with my son, since he archery hunts only. After assembling and sighting in, I was very happy with my purchase, but after no more than 20 shots with the crossbow, when the bow is cocked and the safety is engaged, the safety will not move into the fire position, so the crossbow is useless with this problem. Dunham Sports where I purchased it, will do nothing about it stating since the crossbow was assembled by me, they were no longer liable. This has ruined my hunting season since the rut in myarea is in full mode. I'm sure sending it back to the manufacturer will result in my not getting it back and not being able to hunt the rema inder of the season. I am beyond dissapointed

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not happy. Only had it 2 days. Bolts on rail for scope were loose. No locktite. Bolt retention spring broke when pulling string back. One of the bolts to secure limbs onto stock would not hold the hex key to tighten. Had to buy another one. The bolts that came with crossbow and another half dozen I bought the inserts fell out along with 125 gr. practice tips I bought. There's money wasted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed to say the least read great reviews on this bow and knew i was going to need a better scope and arrows which i problem i knew this....however what nobody tells you is that the 380fps advertised speed is a complete lie.....the arrows provided weighed in at 415grains and shot 337fps thats 43fps slower than the advertised speed...bought carbon express mayhem that weigh 411grains 339fps will never purchase a center point product again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bow for the money The fit and finish of this bow is awesome. Any inconsistencies in shots are caused by the shooter because this this is ridiculously accurate. Also, the customer service with Crosman is top notch. I had one issue with the retention spring which I could have caused with the cocking rope. Cameron and the Crosman team took the bow back for evaluation and sent me a new one within a week. You really can't go wrong with this crossbow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Appears to be well built and great price After much research on crossbows I decided to purchase the CenterPoint Tormentor Whisper 380 based on price and features. I have owned a Horton Yukon for over 15 years that has serviced me well and taken many deer, but decided to upgrade. I purchased this last week and after putting it together decided to try it out yesterday since the weather was nice and hardly any wind. Crossbow shoots as advertised, fast and very quiet. As other reviews on this crossbow I have to agree that the bolts supplied are very cheap and the scope it not very good as well. I started out as instructions stated, 10 yards. The bolt went completely through my target and completely disfigured the vanes and even ripped one vane. Not sure if bow is that powerful or just bad bolts. I ruined two of the three bolts after about ten shots. I switched to my Easton XX75 arrows and had much better results except even after adjusting the scope to the highest level possible and taking over forty shots at only 20 yards, I never could hit the bullseye of my target. Best I could do was hit the bottom circle of the bullseye and can not turn the screw up any higher. Based on reading other reviews I am sure you will recommend that I call customer service which I intend to do tomorrow since you will be closing soon today. Hopefully I will get some resolve. As for hunting deer with this bow I do not feel comfortable at all yet until I get the scope sighting issue resolved. With only one week left this deer season I will stay with my Horton and hopefully my CenterPoint Tormentor 380 will be ready by next season

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this crossbow! But..... Super quiet, very compact. It's more accurate than a rifle. Only thing I don't like is that after shooting through a chronograph, its nowhere near the advertised 380fps. I am shooting 426 grain total arrow weight, with the best arrows money can buy, and it's only shooting 330fps. That's a huge difference. I chose this x bow over the sniper for the speed increase, however it's much slower than the Sniper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needing parts for a centerpoint 380 whisper Less than a year old I have purchase a 380 whisper made by centerpoint I started with the centerpoint 370 and then upgraded to the whisper shortly after I had a issue with one of the limbs on the 370 but any who the problem I am having now is with the spring that holds the bolt into place it has snapped while shooting the bow and I’m not quite sure where to get resplacement parts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good crossbow for the money Just got it today at Cabela's for my birthday. This is my second bow I have a Crosman Teton ll that I have shot several deer with. I shot the Centerpoint in with about 10 shots it shoots very very well; easy to cock; and the trigger pull is crisp. So looking forward to bow season this year. Check out the picture of a 3 shot group just shooting off the front of my truck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a really nice crossbow (Tormentor Whisper) Earlier this Fall (2017) I read mainly all good reviews on the sniper and I had the opportunity to shoot it. I was really happy with it outside it was a little wider then what I liked, but it was mainly the adjustable stock that I didn't care for. Where you would press the "lever" to adjust the length of the stock it would make a rattling noise. The only way I could get it to stop is electrical tape. My father, who was also looking for a crossbow bought the Tormentor 380 even though we were well aware the reviews on the scope were not that good. I put the crossbow together, which went really easy, and I took the advice of others about using loc-tite on all screws. When I shot it I found out right away the tormentor was quieter then the sniper both when you handled it and when you shot it, plus the tormentor just felt more comfortable to me. I still had the sniper at this point so it was a accurate comparison. The scope on the tormentor yes it's very "busy" like most reviews advise, and I actually like the scope on the sniper better. The scope on the sniper only has four lines, I believe, compared to the tormentor has 8 or so including several shorter lines for shorter distances and longer lines for farther shots. It took about nine shots for me to sight in the crossbow at 20 yards. I then just continued moving further away from the target. A guy would almost have to keep a log book so he could remember which line is for what distance. In the end I was shooting 70 yards and still hit within a 4 inch circle with one distance line left to go. I couldn't go back any further in my yard, but I believe I would be able to shoot 80 yards with the tormentor by using the lines in the scope. Due to only having the four lines in the sniper scope I was only able to go out to 50 yards with the sniper, but I would feel comfortable shooting further with the sniper as well. Granted shooting further then 50 yards was more for fun but it was still nice to see the true accuracy of these crossbows. After shooting both the sniper and tormentor, I also went out and bought the Tormentor. My Uncle just took my word for it and bought the Tormentor as well. Some people say this crossbow is great for a beginner or first time crossbow shooter, well I have shot several other brands, including crossbows over $1500 and would put the Tormentor up against them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value! Got the tormentor 380 for Christmas. Had two minor issue that were resolved in short order through customer service. Excellent customer service department. Took it to the range last week for the first time. The crossbow shoots very consistently. 3 bolt groups of 1 inch at 25 yards. Unbelievable accuracy. Excellent crossbow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great crossbow at any price Bought this crossbow to replace my bow this season due to a broken wrist. Very light and compact.. This makes a huge difference when using out of a tree stand. I do not know how they could improve this crossbow. Its affordable , light and accurate. Easy to load and quiet when fired. It really is a great buy.
