2240 Pistol (.22) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from One way to keep an old man happy...... I purchased a 2240 for my 79 year old Dad. It was a Fathers Day gift. When i gave him the gun I made him shut his eyes and hold out his hands, just like a little kid on their birthday. He opened his eyes and was grinning from ear to ear. He tried to be humble and said "You shouldn't have", but he ain't fooling nobody with that smile and that laughter. He is loving the 2240. Thanks James, Leamington Spa, England.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very well built ... this pistol is an example of the quality and feel of the legacy Crosman's that set this brand apart from the "toy" like BB guns in the industry. I have paired this with my 1962 Crosman 160 as they are of the same construction. Bravo Crosman for realizing an excellent design and keeping it alive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Is looks like a prop from Bladerunner. Build like a Kalashnikov, simple, unrefined but functional. Fits like a glove. Easy to keep on target. Nice trigger. Co2 overpowered so it does make some noice. Steel breech is a must. I fitted mine with a simple green dot sight. Fun to shoot!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sent 2 back I purchased this gun from Amazon. The first one leaked CO2 after 20 shots, sent it back! The second one, the front site fell off, never did fire that one! Sent that one back! What is going on with Crosman? Would love to own this gun, but "gun shy".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More fun than a bucket of Pabst Bought this about 6 weeks ago and haven't set it down for more than a few hours since. The factory sights are a little cheap, but, work surprisingly well with a few dabs of nail polish. I had been out of shooting sports for several years and wanted something cheap to relearn basic skills, kill the occasional rat, and test my skills with optics. Since adding a red dot sight and doing something about the noise, I've been shooting 1" 10 shot groups at 10 and at 15yds without really trying. After about 600 pellets the trigger was smooth enough and the accuracy was astonishing. At about 700 pellets, I ordered two 2400kt from the custom shop, one in .22 and one in .177 for slightly different purposes. If the 2240 were offered with the steel breech (important for mounting better sights) and a smoother trigger out of the box, it would be the perfect pellet pistol. As it is, it is awfully good. I have just short of 3,500 pellets through this pistol and not a single complaint. Mine prefers the Crosman 14.3 grain hollowpoints but will shoot almost anything well at 15 yards. If you want something cheap to get into pistol shooting this is an excellent choice. If you want competition level accuracy and optics mounting be ready to add a steel breech or look at the 2300 and 2400 from the Crosman Custom Shop. Happy plinking
