Description
Now you, the airgun hobbyist, can attach your favorite dovetail accessories to your 1377, 1740, 1760, PC77, 2240, 2250, 2260, 2289, 1322, and C362. This Steel Breech kit not only has a superior look, but it alleviates the need to purchase separate parts. With an all-steel construction, it provides durability which in turn may improve your accuracy. With just the use of the two hex wrenches included and a flat-head screwdriver, this breech will be attached and ready for your accessories.
- This breech will not fit the older 1377 pistols with a sliding breech cover!
- Does not support mounting of original rear sight
- WILL support mounting of the LPA MIM sight
- Dovetail groove

All the guns 13x & 22x Should come with this breech. It would be worth the extra $$ and I would’nt have had to buy the last 5 I’ve bought or install.

If you’re planning to upgrade from a plastic breech then plan on no longer being able to drop in a pellet, slide the bolt and go!
Your Crosman Premier pellets will nose down into the front breech screw cavity and jam every time while sliding bolt forward without massaging the pellet forward simultaneously!
The kit also does not include a new front breech allen head screw at all which is poor. Let alone possibly include one with an altered or raised head to prevent the nose of pellet dropping down…
The steel breech is a nice upgrade, it adds rigidity, makes things more solid, has a dovetail but brings a frustration to what was an otherwise fun and easy to load gun.
Brock Sampson –
Its easy to install but also easy to overlook or forget the orientation of the transfer port when reinstalling.
Slightly off and you will have performance issues.
If you are getting jams you installed it wrong.
Or just user error in general.

Added this to my 1377 along with the LPA MIM rear sight. Added some needed heft to the gun and seemed to tighten things up. Liked it so much I did the same thing to my 1322. Accuracy of both guns got better, but that may be the MIM rear sight helping.
Installation was a bit fussy, but not hard. If I buy another 1377 or 1322, it’ll definitely get a steel breech.

I ordered this with my pump 22 pellet rifle model 362. As others have noted the screw that holds the breech inside the bolt tube does fit too low and causes the pellets to get caught. If crosman would supply a new screw that fits flush this wouldn’t happen. Also to install the breech you have to loosen the barrel at the end near the front sight. The allen screw was a different size that the included wrenches didn’t fit. Loosening the bolt that hold the barrel clamp at the end of pump tube will allow enough barrel movement to install the breech. I was able to shim the screw in the breech to allow pellets to load smoothly. I love being able to mount a scope now.

Absolutely love this steel breech! Added it to my P1322. I must say its such an improvement over the (stock plastic) breech! Adds a little more weight but is balanced perfectly! The breech also hold the barrel much better over the stock one. Before I was hitting maybe half dollar groups. Now I’m driving tacks!! No movement at all! Nevermind the endless reddot/scope mounting options now!!

The plastic breach that comes with.
The 1377.
It’s okay, But if you’re thinking I’ll putting a scope or a red dot on it , this is a must. Easy installation

Needs a better screw, poor engineering. Out side of that it is good.

I installed following a random you tube video. It was a bit fiddly but in the end only took 20 minutes and I went slow. Gun worked great afterword. It’ll be a good first step to upping the fps.
Michael Grzyb –
Very good! Fine tuning of the instruction sheet would have sped things up.
Thomas Noone –
The bridge kit was the most excellent addition to my 362. It has made for a very accurate air gun. One thing I would change is that the small screw inside the breach which has a .050 Allen wrench should be changed to something that does not strip out as easily as something that small. Perhaps a torques. Otherwise I am very happy with the product.
Shane Wooten –
It is well made and easy to install and it works like a dream.
Christian Smith –
I installed the steel breech and adjustable rear sight onto my 1377. What a simple process to complete with fantastic results. A great pellet pistol became a show piece for the wall when it’s not in use.
David Cardwell –
Very good. Was easy to install.

Up graded my 1322 to a steel Breech. Easy install and gun looks great. I wish crossman sold a peep site for the new configutation.
ed petrucci –
seems like nice part.. a lot better then plastic one that came on 1377.. the bolt could be a little bit bigger
Jim Tidwell –
I never have to worry about fit or performance using the Crosman steel receivers. Nothing else comes close in my opinion.
Joe OConnor –
The steel breech is a nice addition to my Crossman. Very easy to install and gives a nice platform for a scope. I wish there were more options for iron sights.
David Baumann –
Very easy installation. Much more solid than the original setup on my 2250; though it has served me well for 20 years. I"m sure this steel breech will last even longer!
Gerard Lucano Jr –
Great upgrade for improved accuracy , easy installation .
Rafael Vargas –
The steel breech is easy to install, screws and Allen wrenches included. I wish I didn’t have to purchase separately.
Frank Muneton –
Nice adds weight and a good platform for future upgrades.

Crosman Co. Shipped my items quickly and arrived in excellent condition as always.I am a long time customer and I have purchased a total of three steel breech kits. Two of them were used on the 2240 pistols and one on my latest purchase the 362S.All three were very easy to install and gives a quality build and performance to my guns. Thanks Crosman

This company makes great products and also great customer service they sent me new spring for free keep going crosman ya got a customer for lifetime
Barry Behrle –
After changing from the plastic to a steel breech the increase in power and accuracy was so great I had to build a stronger pellet trap. The upgrade pushed pellets through the foam, cardboard and out the back of the plastic tub. Time to add a power adjuster.
Craig Poosikian –
Item came packaged well and fit perfectly. I haven’t used it yet but I’m sure it will function correctly.
Reed Thatcher –
The steel breech is easy to install and also accepts the fully adjustable rear site, which is also a fantastic upgrade.
Mike Hayes –
Fairly good, I see Alliance Hobby has a after market breech that has the small anchor screw back under the bolt, that would prevent pellets from hanging up when they entered the barrel, that small screw is pretty fragile and strips the threads pretty easy,
Mark Werner –
I bought the steel breech to allow mounting an optical sight. Installation was quick and easy, and it seems to function perfectly.
Cannot say the same about the sight. Realizing this is an “entry level” item… It’s pretty much useless. With a fully-charged battery, the sight picture is a large, blurry dot that obscures the target. The only time you get an actual usable “dot” is when the battery is about to die.
