Legacy 1000 is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Multi-pump for the Money! Positive: I just bought the Legacy 1000 from a local big box store and tested it with bb's and Crosman pellets. Wow is this thing powerful! Shooting freehand, I was nailing the end of lb. size coffee without adjusting the steel sights. The bb's and pellets easily blew holes through the cans at 36ft. with only 8 to 10 pumps. Negatives: The plastic bolt seems flimsy - I could be wrong, but it seems to flex. Hopefully it will be a non-issue. General Comment: My adult son, dug out his 15 year old Crosman 2100 Classic. It sure seems much sturdier and solidly built; however, it's lost power so hopefully a new seal kit will fix it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big Piece of Ka Ka I've owned Crosman since I was young. Both my son's first BB guns were Crosmans. So when the time came and I needed one for pests I turned to Crosman. Started falling apart after one week. Didnt have the receipt or box couldnt take back. Used electrical tape to hold it together. Barrel spins and wiggles. Now the whole body has fallen apart. Very very disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service! I purchased this air rifle to plink around in the back yard, and keep up the shooting fundamentals until the next range session with my "Sporting Rifles". I put about 200 to 400 pellets thru the rifle and noticed that the power had fallen off considerably. I check the rifle and noticed that when the rifle was pumped air would escape. My first thought was to trash the rifle, I was not happy!. After a couple of days to cool off, I said what the heck! The rifle is still under warranty...send it back for repairs. After all the rifle does have a lot of power, and I really liked the gun. So I boxed it up and shipped it off. All I expected was to get the same rifle back repaired and ready to shoot. To my surprise Crosman sent me a brand new in the box Legacy1000 with scope and a tube of chamber oil. Did not see that coming! Thanks for the "Great Customer Service". I'm a customer for life!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Feel apart very first time it was used I bought the bb gun for my son. However the very first bb ever fired though it didn't work and the receiver area of the gun fell apart right down the middle. I see another post on here with the same problem only at least theirs lasted a week. Very poor quality. I would never suggest anyone by this BB gun. If I could give it negative ratings I would.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk! I bought this rifle (Crossman Legacy 1000) due to past experience with Crossman. Evidently their quality assurance guy has quit. I put 3 shots through this rifle before it literally fell apart (6 pumps on each shot). The action came apart and the stock fell off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had my doubts at first. Right after I bought the current 760 which fell short of my hopes I bought the Legacy 1000. When I opened the box and saw it I thought oh no more plastic ,but its very nice looking plastic. next I compared it to my 766 and 2100 , they all have a nice feel the 766 feeling heaviest and the 1000 lightest. It can't have that much more velocity than the others I thought so let the test begin. I put 10 pumps in my 766 fired it and went off to order a re seal kit. After I repaired it I tested all 3 and the legacy came out on top getting close to enough to the advertised velocity . Okay but with the plastic side plates it cant be as accurate. it wasn't it ,was more accurate with tighter groups than the others. The Legacy 1000 surpassed my expectations . Though I don't welcome more plastic on airguns than their predecessors this plastic is done right and I do welcome it into my collection . Good job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't try to fix it - throw it away 1 year and 1 month after purchasing, the pump locked up and I couldn't fire or close the pump handle. Knowing it was beyond the warranty period, and with my experience as an industrial repair technician, I decided to take it apart to find out why. I was able to un-jam the tiny check valve on the compression cylinder, but some of the parts fell out when I first opened the cover. Now I find out that a parts diagram isn't available. This gun was only used about 5 times, a few shots each time. Now I'll throw it away and find a Daisy....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fantastic Value For the Money ! Just picked up this pumper today and so far I am very pleased ! I mounted the scope, set up a target and went to work getting it sighted in. Decided 6 pumps was enough for this activity. After 4 groups of 3 shots, I was putting them all in the bullseye at 50 feet. Loading pellets into the breech can be tricky getting them into the correct position. Reading some of the other reviews, I see where others have broken their guns in half ! This can only happen if a completely careless pumping technique is used or more than 12 strokes are attempted..I can sympathize somewhat if a scope is mounted which makes getting a proper grip on the gun difficult..One must avoid putting a lot of strain on the receiver to stock joint as it is a weak point. This guns strong-points are accuracy and power. For backyard plinking and pest control, you can't go wrong with a L-1000.
