Description
The Crosman 2100 Classic .177 Variable Pump Air Rifle blends traditional styling with versatile performance, making it a dependable choice for shooters ranging from beginners to experienced airgun enthusiasts. Built with a full-sized, all-weather synthetic stock, this rifle offers comfortable handling and durability for regular outdoor use.
Featuring an easy-to-use variable pump pneumatic system, the 2100 Classic allows shooters to adjust velocity from 400 to 800 feet per second, depending on the number of pumps. This flexibility makes it equally well suited for casual backyard plinking, range practice, and light pest control. The rifle shoots both 4.5mm steel BBs and .177 caliber pellets, giving users the freedom to choose their preferred ammunition.
A rifled steel barrel supports improved pellet accuracy, while the bolt-action pellet loader encourages deliberate, controlled shooting. For BB use, the rifle includes a spring-loaded BB magazine with a built-in reservoir holding up to 850 BBs, reducing reload interruptions. A fiber-optic front sight paired with an elevation-adjustable rear sight helps shooters acquire targets quickly in a variety of lighting conditions.
Finished with a crossbolt safety to promote proper handling, the Crosman 2100 Classic is a versatile, time-tested air rifle shipped in a simple brown box—focused on performance over packaging.

From age six till now at 30, literally I still have my 2100, and surprisingly still knocks them dead.

This is a great airgun that will shot BBs, that are stored in the stock, then feed to the breach. Or you can feed it ,177 pellets, either way it’s great for pest control, so take back your garden with 2100.

I just bought my first 2100 from Wal-Mart, and I have to say, I really like it. Got it sighted in with a cheapy Bushnell 4×32 scope and it is dead on. Puts out decent fps/fpe (603.7fps/6.4 fpe with 7.9gr Benji HP—460.7fps/4.86fpe with 10.3gr Skenco UltraShock), so perfect for a backyard pester, but not the 800fps as claimed—I will try Predator GTO alloys next. I was lucky enough to catch it on a clearance price—and I have been looking for another one at clearance. I wish the stock and pump handle were of better material and not hollow. So far, this is my only qualm. I think it capable of 40yds with no issues. Will have to see.

I’m completely satisfied with the 2100 shoots great has excellent power. I have a 766 I got for Christmas 1977 still shots good . The 2100 is 5 STAR ALL the way. I would definitely recommend this rifle.

As an 11 year old at the time, I saved up all my money for months and still remember the day my mom took me to K-Mart to buy my 2100! Now, at age 42…..I still have it, still use it, and still has the power and accuracy it did back then. Scoped or un-scoped…pellets or BBs… Targets, Plinking, Cans, Jugs, and crushes most vermin effortlessly (especially with a pointed .177)

I got one of these when I was 10 (46 almost 47 now). This has been the best airgun I have ever owned. Great for small game hunting, pest control, target shooting. I had to replace the piston assembly about 5 years ago (normal wear and tear for it’s age). This is one of two gifts I ever received from my dad before he passed away, I plan on making this product last as long as I can. I cleaned the rifle yesterday and got a bunch of crud out (don’t have an actual cleaning kit for it and had to improvise). It shoots just as good as the day I got it back in 1985.

It’s a cheap, plastic gun, with enough steel to stabilize the plastic parts. It’s hard to tell if the entire barrel is steel, but the steel you can see was poorly blued.
The gun was delivered with a loose and wobbly plastic stock. The manual suggests to tighten the stock periodically, but doesn’t give instructions on how. Besides, I shouldn’t need to do that right out of the box.
And all this fo $100?
I’ll waiting to talk with Customer service M-F, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, (hopefully not a call center in India) to fire the gun.

For a bb gun/pellet gun it has a lot of power. It is new so still kind of hard for me to pump it but 5-6 pumps will nail any of your targets under 20 yards, dead on. I’m still getting used to the front sight, I still might put a simple scope on it just because my eyesight isn’t that great any more. This is a good gun. I had a Daisy powerline 880 but it was time to replace it because of age and wear.

Great. I love it. Thank you all. If you are in the market buy from Crossman directly not Walmart. Walmart sells merchandise the don’t stand behind. I purchased a pellet gun that didn’t work and was told no refunds or exchanges. Crossman is the best.

The rifle is a little bit "light" with so much plastic on the gun for almost $100 but it does shoot well and is easy to load and fire quickly. I have pellet rifles and bought this specifically to shoot BB’s with my grandsons so I have not fired a pellet through the rifle nor do I intend to. If I could have given it a 4.5 rating I would have. I don’t even mind the plastic, but seems it should have been a little heavier to me…

It was a great surprise when I saw the improvements that had been made to the Crosman air rifle when I had to replace my 20 year old Crosman model 300 air rifle. The improvements are phenomenal!

im pleased so far. i only shoot pellets out of mine. my yard lends itself to 20 yard plinking. 5 pumps gives me ~597 fps with a 7.6 gr hollow point pellet. that’s generally all the pumps I do. scoped, the rifle gives me 50 cent piece size groups, often better , at 20 yards. 597 fps at 7+ grains is quite effective at pest control. for comparison its a bit longer than a powerline and seems to have a bit more heft. I’m 6’3″ and this rifle seems more comfortable to shoot to me…daisy is easier to pump however. a nice offering in the variable pump rifle world.
